Awesome 8/3/2011

I took my Subaru to a well known Subaru repair shop I have been going to for years because of an oil leak. I was told it was a rear main seal and would cost $850. I took it to Baseline Auto and they added diagnostic dye to the engine and had me come back the next day. The mechanic showed me where the oil was and how it couldn't have been a rear main seal leak but simply an oil pan. $205 with everything. These guys are great. more

Excellent Service 11/18/2010

I have gone to Baseline Auto a few times now, and every time I come out of it fully satisfied. I've never had a problem with anything they've done to my car. Also, though their new location is less convenient for me, they take me where I need to go and even picked me up after 5:30 (closing time) when I couldn't get a ride. more

Prompt, trustworthy, and good quality. 11/15/2010

I first went to Baseline Auto Service because their office person had worked for several other companies, and I followed him to Baseline. I got to meet the mechanics, and I like everything they do. I refuse to go to the dealer because I don't like them, and I think they overcharge me. Baseline Auto does what they say they will do, and they just do what is needed. When there wasn't something fixed quite right, they immediately repaired it. I no longer live in Boulder, but I go out of my way to get service there because I trust them. It seem to be easy to make an appointment, and they are very prompt and timely in their service. The quality seems good. There are a few pieces of equipment that they don't have, like alignment equipment, but they tell me if they can't do it. more

They make going to the mechanic less painful. 10/27/2010

I have been going to Baseline Auto Service for about 10 years, and I cannot say enough good about them. They always fit you in. They are a small very, female-owned business, and they are like a family. There has been so little turnover, it is like everyone knows you. Women sometimes feel they are being taken advantage of when they go to a mechanic, but I have never felt that way going to Baseline. I trust them. more

Fast service. 10/26/2010

I have used Baseline Auto Service for a long time, even when they weren't Baseline. They have a very convenient location. When I call and talk to Rick I can always get in to get the car taken care of. They come pick me up and make sure I have a ride. I had to have a tow once, and the car was taken care of the next day. All of the services have been fast. Rick calls me if anything unexpected comes up, gives me a price, and asks if I want it taken care of. I have never been disappointed in what they have done. They have always been reasonably quick; no one ever says to come in a week. I can always bring it in the next day. I'm generous with time too, so that if I take it in at noon, I let them know I can pick it up the next day. It works both ways. However, they mostly come through in a couple of hours. At one point I needed a part replaced that they didn't have, and they drove over to another place that had it to have it done there. I enjoy it there, and think they do a good job. more

Do Not Take Your Car Here!!! 6/5/2009

These people are not only rude, they lied to me and gave me the wrong diagnosis! They said they would look at my car at no charge to find out what was wrong. Than when I went to get it towed because I wanted to get a second opinion (which was free) they would not let them take my car because they said I owed them money. When I went down there the owner (nasty women in the front) insisted that my car had been there for 3 weeks, even after the front desk guy in-front of the computer screen confirmed that it had not even been two weeks. In the week and a half it was there they did not call me once. The times that I called them they never said there would be a charge, even when I called to say my insurance company was going to come down to look at it (which was why it was there for so long). And every time I called they said they didn't mind having it there until my insurance company got there. The insurance company and Baseline disagreed on the diagnosis (why I wanted a second opinion). The place I finally got my car towed to after they made me pay them agreed with the insurance mechanic. Cons: everything more

Absolutely TERRIBLE! 4/2/2009

I took my truck in to get my brakes fixed because they were grinding and on the verge of failing. The mechanics looked at the brakes and told me that they would have to replace the front brake pads and rotors, and that my rear brakes had about 60% pad left and there were no serious problems with them. They replaced the front brakes and all was fine and dandy. Until about 2 days after the service when I was traveling 400 miles to Crested Butte and my truck began vibrating terribly. I pulled over and immediately saw that my rear brake was smoking badly. Luckily I was only a mile outside of South Park and I took it to a mechanic there. They looked at the rear brakes and noticed that they were all out of adjustment, hung up, and my axle seals were leaking. $400 later I had new rear brakes. What I don't understand is why Baseline Auto told me my rear brakes were fine? I'm lucky to be alive today, no exaggeration. If I would have went any further my brakes would have locked up and who knows what could have happened. Please do not go to Baseline Auto. Cons: Everything more

Very reliable and fair!!! 9/20/2007

I went to another auto repair and I was told that I need to replace some expensive parts in the car (strouts and mounts), and that I needed to do that because of safety reasons. After calling many places, I called Baseline Auto Repair to get a estimate about the cost for the service. They asked me to take the car there to make sure my car need those parts replaced. For my good surprise the car didn't. It does need some fix but it cost half of the price compared what I was told in the first place. And the mechanic showed me the piece that need to be replaced and compared with the other side of the car , that is in good condition. I am still going to fix my car in a few days, but now I am not so concerned about the safety and the price. more

Great auto service! 5/23/2006

We started using Baseline auto because we live just down the road, but now we would drive across town to get our cars serviced there. The staff is courteous, respectful, and explain everything that needs to be done. I highly recommend it. more

Trustworthy and courtieous mechanic 12/11/2005

As a young single gal, I am always wairy of going to a new auto shop, but I was very pleased with the quality of the repairs and customer service I received at Baseline Auto. I needed my car back in a day and they had it done, no problem. They offered competitive pricing and door to door shuttle service. They remember me and my car when I call in and were even able to help me over the phone when I broke down in Nebraska. I give them two thumbs up! Pros: great customer servic, timely repairs more

worst customer service! 7/31/2005

horrible customer service, never rent a truck from there! Rude employees. Wouldn't work with problems. Cons: bad customer service more
