Dr. Steelman is amazing! My family & I have been with BCH for over 5 years & have been treated like family. The staff is great & we would never go anywhere else. I never thought I'd be writing this, but I don't recommend coming here if you want a vet that values their patrons. I called with a simple question and they wait an hour to return my call knowing I have an emergency! Furthermore, I'm appauled at the treatment I received from them and their lack of understanding after having brought my cats here for almost 2 decades. In a town as transient as Vegas, any business is lucky to have that. more

I have never met a better place to take my cats. SImply that and nothing more. They have the kindness and tenderness that can only come from caring and loving their patients. I truly enjoy stopping in just to say Hello to the many cats they have in-house; ones too disabled to enjoy a good home with a normal family. They are very busy when it comes to grooming so plan well ahead, especially if you need a weekend appointment; there just aren't that many. BCH has always treated my two ""kids"" very well and they come back home with less trauma tha other vet clinics I have used. Prices are well within reason and in many cases, better. Their advice to me (while treating an ill cat at home) was priceless. One other thing; bring in unwanted (sealed) food or even litter of any kind and donate it to them. They need it and always appreciate it when I bring in a bag or some dry/wet food. (Dry is better.) more

While I do agree with the other reviewers about the doctor being an excellent doctor; I do need to address the fact that the customer service here has continued on a downward spiral. I've been going to this doctor for quite some time now and I must say I'm very disappointed in how she's let things become. They are understaffed and they also take on way too many clients at once. So if you believe it will be easy to get a hold of them, think again. I usually have to keep calling every so often to get a hold of someone because when you leave a message they don't bother calling you back. While her pricing is very good; I believe this also leads to said problems above. The last time I was in there I had to sit around for hours and hours before I was even seen (yes, I did have an appointment, which is what made this fact worse). The lady at the front desk got yelled at for being cruel and not taking in a cat that had just been hit by a car. It was very muggy and depressing in there as well. I saw some sick cats roaming around and one had a coughing fit while I was sitting there waiting to be called in. Not to say I don't admire her for doing such a noble thing, but there just has to be a certain balance which I feel is lacking. While I would love to give this place 4 or 5 stars; I just can't until she fixes the mess that she's let it become. I really hope things do improve because I would love to start going back there again, but until that happens I'm going to stick with the score I'm giving now. more

I can't stress enough how great this vets office is. Dr.Steelman is amazing. As a child, we took my cat to the vet at her office to get her routine check ups. Now as an adult, my cat is much older and needs a little bit more care. She was diagnosed with diabetes and it was a bit scary. Dr. Steelman explained to me in detail how to help my cat. My old cat now runs around and plays like she is a kitten again. The prices are also extremely low recession or not. The staff is very nice and they even take in strays and nurse them back to health. There really is no other care like Dr. Steelman's when it comes to cats more

If you have a cat, this is the only place to take it. While it seems a little unorganized Dr. Steelman saved my cat when I had already spent a thousand dollars a t Cheyenne West Hospital. She diagonozed the problem right away when Cheyenne after running urinary test, ultrasound, and other tests twice did not diagnoze the problem. This is the only place for your cat. I cannot stress this enough. My cat is on recovery and will live a normal life thanks to her. The plus is that she does not overcharge her patients although I would have spent anything to save my cat. She is a wonderful vet and it's obvious that she cares because of all the rescues she has at her office. Unlike the last person who couldn't get an answer, I have a very different experience. Dr. Steelman has been our vet for two years, and while the phones often go to voice mail during the busy part of the day, my calls have always been returned... Often I get the call back after hours, because that's the first chance they have to call back. Dr. Steelman has the best prices of any vet I've taken my cats to in Vegas. She is very compassionate, and very dedicated to the cats she cares for, AND to their owners. She took the necessary time to teach me how to provide necessary medical treatment to our oldest cat, and to make sure I was comfortable with it, which is something no other vet has ever done for me. And when the time came to put our 20 year old cat to sleep, she stayed with us while we grieved. As long as I live in this valley, I'll never consider taking my other cat to anyone else. I had a 7 year old kitty that got really sick with kidney failure. Linda Steelman treated her like she was her own pet. It is unusual to find someone so commited to their job. Her passion and professionalism is reflected in her hospital in general, in all the cats she adopted and in the service her staff gives you pretty much at any time you need it. Dr. Linda Steelman is truly an angel on Earth. She, along with an equally wonderful staff, selflessly devoted many hours into the night and early in the morning to try and save my dying, beloved Sonic. The many cats who live at the hospital are a testament to her belief that all cats are special, even those whose serious medical conditions prevent them from ever being adopted. Linda Steelman, DVM really came to my rescue! She was not open for business on a Sunday night but heard my cat crying over the phone and had me bring him to stabilize him and stop his pain. She suggested that I leave him there over night because of his condition(Saddle Thrombosis) and luckily she was with him when he had a siezure and expired. Linda gave my cat such comfort at the end and this gave me such comfort. She is highly recommended and knowledgeable on Felines. more
