Yummy! I'm ordering there again RIGHT NOW.

It sounded like a good deal, and there were several choices, including bread, entrees, and desert. But the food was not worth the price. The chicken tikka was bland and full of b...

Foods OK, not the best vegetable biryani. However, the chai they serve is pretty darn good. Considering they are so close to my home, their delivery speed could be a little better. more

Delicious and Authentic Indian Food 7/26/2010

Bombay Indian has been in this location for quite some time and when I look around and see all of the restaurants that have open and closed, it makes me happy to know that Bombay Indian has remained. Pros: A great option for the Opera, Ballet, or Best of Broadway more

Excellent Indian Buffet 6/28/2010

What an amazing lunch I just had. The buffet is filled with hot, fresh food, with a great selection of meat, chicken and vegetarian dishes. The also offer wonderful selection of condiments and sauces to accompany each dish. Pros: Beautiful interior, fantastic food more

Hot & delicious Indian food delivered on time = 4 stars. Bombay gets a 5th star for making dishes that are both familiar and unique - not the generic/interchangeable flavors that I've been getting from all the other Indian delivery joints. more

I don't know that the food is perfect, but they're completely reliable and the food is really solid. I particularly like their Krahi chicken. I order from them probably once or twice a week and they're never late and the food is always good. I'd recommend them enormously. more

Best Okra in Town! 3/26/2007

The Okra was sooo good! The sauce was delicious with a perfect spicy bite. Also had the samosas , lamb vindaloo and garlic naan. All were very delicious. I had it as take out, but I will definitely try dine-in. more

Serving spinach during E.coli scare and rude and ignorant when customers asks about this 9/23/2006

A friend and I went to this restaurant for dinner. I remember not thinking the food was very good lasttime I went but I thought I would give it another chance. Well, we were served spinach during the E.coli scare. My date politley told the waiter that spinach has been pulled by the shelves because of the E.coli scare and that almost 100 people have died. The waiter LITERALLY told us that there is NO E.coli scare and if there was, the spinach is fresh(fresh spinach is the worst for transmitting E.coli! - you can't wash it off!). My date proceeded to tell him that spinach has been pulled from the shelves and that he should tell the cooks. He disrespectfully laughed at my date like he was an idiot and LITERALLY said "ya ya ya" and walked away!! It is a real lack of respect to the customer to serve spinach during a national E.coli scare because you are too worried about how much $$ you would lose throwing it out and also ignorant(it is on tv and in the newspapers) to put people in the SF community in possible harms way. Think of what else they might do in the kichen to save $ that might be harmful to the customer? At the end, the waiter charged us and made us pay for the spinach dish whether we wanted to eat it or not due to fears of E.Coli! I told the waiter that I am never coming back to this restaurant because I told him that I don't think we have been treated right. The waiter sent the water person to wait on us the rest of the time we were there in response to this. Cons: Food, Service, Uses Fresh Spinach during E.Coli Scare more

Poor quality, over priced, not consistent food and terrible service where the staff said manager was not in so we don't give a damn 8/19/2006

I love Indian food and this is the third time I have been to Bombay hoping it will get better as its close to my home. We tried to get takeaway on this attempt. They were rude, understaffed and not really interested in working. We had a voucher to get discount on takeaway and they said it was not valid. Despite it stating valid anytime to Dec. I asked to speak to the manager and they said he was away and Kietak said he didn't give a damn about take aways as they were so busy. If you want cold, #slop# thinly dressed up as Indian food, with poor service and poor hygience this is the place for you. Very dissapointing. Pros: Location Cons: Poor service, lack of attention to detail, terrible staff that don't care more

DELISH Indian Food! Delivery! YES! 6/18/2006

We have ordered online from Bombay Indian once to twice a month for the past two years, at least. This place is great! We used to order our standard: Pakora Palak, Alu Pratha (naan), Saag Paneer, Chicken Masala, and some sort of Tandoori. However, over the past 6-8 months, we've ventured from our "norm". So far, everything we've tried has been delicious! it's safe to say we've made it through at least 3/4 of the menu. Delivery is reliable, the food is always consistent & delicious, and without fail arrives piping hot. Specifications on the spiciness level is always right on. We love this place, and will continue to order from there and explore their menu often. Pros: Delivery, delicious food Cons: Cons? more

best food and service for the money 5/8/2006

I am delighted to have found this place! The food is exquisite, the staff is very affable, and the ambience is perfect for romance. It's not over crowded and there is a comfortable amount of lighting. I was very pleased with this restaurant. I would recommend it to anybody who appreciates good food and great service. more

i'm drooling when i'm thinking of it 5/8/2006

No jokes! this restaurant is the best around here when it comes to indian cuisine. If you talk only about food, gosh it taste really good. but too bad this isn't only about food the atmosphere is great, it is small so you don't find yourself in the middle of the noise. the decoration are just gorgeous, the price is good also, and most of all the service is really great. the waiter will be always nice, at your service and ready to give you some advice. To make it short a good place to go with your friends, or girlfriend if you want to enjoy the taste of THE INDIAN FOOD! more

la classe restaurant!! 5/8/2006

It is riddiculosly hard to write about this resataurant in 150 words or less, i have been around to loads of indian resataurants but the food and service i here was absolutely class. And not just the food, the ambience deserves appreciation as well. I will no doubt recomend this restaurant to anybody who savies delicious food and friendly servers. Two big thumbs up. more

had never been here, but now will always be here 4/9/2006

OK, i read some of the reviews & was quite taken back by some of the comments. I have been here once & let me tell y'all that i m only going 2 go here for Indian food! Damn, this place rocks. Not very crowded, fun atmosphere & very artisitic paintings! The staff is amazing. They will get u wat you want & without rippin you off. I was there with my fiancee and the waiter told us not to order too much, wait and see what we have first and then order later! Where do you get waiters like this? The food was amazing. not too creamy & perfect blend of spices. this food was hella good, unlike Indian oven or Naan Curry where its all creamy. Nice energetic music too, dont know why other restaurants dont play the same kind. Highly recommended place Pros: Cool Staff!, Reasonable, Great food more

Excellent food and great delivery service 3/19/2006

We usually order online and it has been great- love these dishes: Lamb Boti Masala, Chicken Makhanwala curry and the Krahi stirfry with prawns. Good people! Pros: Chicken Makhanwala, Krahi stirfry, Fast Delivery more
