Better down the road 11/22/2011

My wife and I thought that it was pretty good but after going to another place a few miles down the road on a Friday we were not impressed. we went to Onyx across from the golf course and found our calling!! the music was great along with the food!! Bobby Linguiri played Sinatra and Anthony made us a great martini paired with a ZD cab. it was fun and lively and we loved Zachery as our server!! We will be back. Sorry Bob but this place was better! more

Highly recommend !!! 6/18/2010

we have heard about this place for many years from friends and family finally tried it out love it love it love it!!!! wonderful experience fair menu prices all sides included no ala husband and i each ordered the 24oz bone in ribeye to die for!!!! we are looking forward to going back to try out the lobster and crab legs. more

Waste of Money 2/19/2010

Have been going here since 1993. This last meal was the worst that we have ever had. The waiter was surley and argumentative. He doesn't even know what the cooking degree are. Argued with us that medium well is still red in the middle when the menu says its not even pink. Sent steaks back three times and still they could not get it right. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were told that there was not one working tonight. When I asked who was in charge, I was told the chef, but that he had left an hour ago. Who cooked our steaks? The quality of this restaurant has been going down for a while now while they raise the prices. When finally contacting the owner the next day all were were offered was a gift certificate. I don't want to eat here again. There are many other good steak houses in Las Vegas that are far superior than Bob Taylor's. It too bad they have lost there ability to provide good food. Pros: Nothing Cons: Not what it used to be more

The Wild West Dinner 2/17/2010

This hidden secret in Las Vegas, is still a great place for a homestyle country cooking/atmosphere Steaks and Seafood. everything you get is like being at Forest Gumps' house for dinner, its as good as it gets, that is if you like down to earth style dining. If your expectations are stratopheric, then, this is not the place for you. Other than that, and the dirt and gravel parking lot, you'll feel like you came here on a horse and buggy, rather than your Camry. Their scampi sauce is exceptional, Prime Rib was very good and fresh like they just roasted it, which they did. The ultimate fix for me was their bread, lightly burnt, it went well with everything, my salad, soup, and prime rib. Definitely a place to frequent. Pros: Homestyle Breads, Steaks, scampi oh my! Cons: dirt parking lot, bring your horse next time. more

average 12/25/2009

you get what you pay for average steak for average cost ,I am almost positive the steaks are not aged beef .I guess most people in vegas do not know what good food is .Bobs is about as good as the outback but if you think circus circus is a great steak house you might like this place, i would rather spend the money and go eat a really good steak . Pros: not expencive for a steak house Cons: not great beef more

Mediocre Food 10/31/2009

If you want to pay a lot of money for mediocre food this is the place to go! Be weary of ordering their BBQ chicken as you will indeed get the whole chicken including the bones. To make things worse if you split a check be careful to check your credit card to make sure you actually were charged the right amount. We were charged twice and the issue has still not been resolved. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Cons: Overpriced more

very disappointing 10/20/2009

We have lived less then 5 miles from Bob Taylors for over 9 years. We were told it was agreat place to go and take your friends. We enjoyed many dinners there including special occasions. Our visiting friends raved about it. Then something happened, there was new ownership and everything went downhill. We had a number of bad experiences but kept going back hoping the "" the old Bob Taylors"" would reappear. Our latest experience will be the last time we go to this restrauant. We went to try the $1 dollar an ounce prime rib. Both of our pieces of meat were overly fatty and tasteless, but the real surprise was that unlike the regular menu the dinners were ala carte. My 16 ounce prime rib with side salad and a twice baked potato cost $25.90. The menu price for 16 ounce prime rib which includes salad and Potato is 25.95. I saved 5cents. NEVER AGAIN Cons: The food and the cost more

Bob Taylor's Original Ranch House is no what it used to be 9/24/2009

It used to be a top steak house years ago. It has really gone down the tubes. Very bad service and not good. I was so disappointed with the food and high price. more

Which decade are you living in? 7/18/2009

I have noticed that most of the negative reviews have stated that the prices were too high. I am not sure what decade they were living in. A modest dinner for four cost us $125+. A comparable meal at Smith and Wollensky's on the strip was $500+. Meals in the restaurants of Las Vegas (especially the casinos) are no longer inexpensive. The days of the $2.95 steak and eggs and the $4.95 T-bone are gone FOREVER. Pros: Great Steaks, casual atmosphere more

2nd Best Steakhouse in town 7/3/2009

So our favorite steakhouse in town is Circus Circus, which we save for special occasions because of the price. About once a month, we venture to BT's steakhouse and have NEVER been disappointed. The regular salads with italian dressing are SO good. They remind me of the original Kens Steakhouse restaurant salads from Framingham, Massachusetts. The steak is great. We always get the fillet and have never had a problem. So yummy! We have always had incredible service there. We've even got to a first name basis with our favorite server there - but everyone is super friendly and I don't know what the bad reviewers are talking about. They are all professional. Pros: Great Steak, Great Service, Price Cons: Far Drive more

The Best Steak in town 3/22/2009

We come in about every month to six weeks. The food never disapoints. Everything is always well prepared and you just cant beat the flavor of thier steaks and prime rib. I like the fack that the grille is right in veiw nothing to hide, just good food. Pros: Great food Cons: It can be loud while it is busy. more

Best Beef in town 10/18/2008

I have lived in Vegas now for a long while. I like Bob?s place with the old time atmosphere. Places come and go but this place has the best steak and friendly service. The sides are ok but if you want the best beef this is the place to go. Also it?s a good time to dress a bit for dinner. Most places care less about jeans and a tee. But I certainly would feel out of place there. I nice shirt and khaki?s will blend in just fine. more

Craft Steak restaurant at MGM Grand 8/14/2008

I can't begin to tell you all how bad this restaurant was. It went from bad to worse. We all started off with simple appetizers of roasted peppers and caprese salads which were VERY salty. Then we all ordered steaks and they were all extremely salty. We complained to management who in return gave us free desserts, but it still didn't help the situation. WORST steaks ever!!!! Will never go back.\r \r Best steak house in Las Vegas hands down is\r SW Steak House at the Wynn Hotel!!!\r \r Craft Steak should take some cooking lessons from them. more

Must be under new ownership!!!! 9/13/2007

We visited BT's Ranch House this past Tuesday evening and couldn't be anymore disappointed with an establishment! We have been there in the past, but not in a while. The quality of the service has diminished so much, I don't expect to return ever again. I'm not opposed to spending a lot of money on a good meal, but when it is a total disappointment, I feel ripped off. Our waitress was so unprofessional that she touched our food when we pointed out that our sides where on the wrong plates. I would have rather switched them myself as opposed to having her handle them with her fingers!!!! Soooo unprofessional!!!! She forgot to order my husband's lobster tail, which is what we really went there for. She gave us the wrong appetizers and said that is what we ordered. Then when I wanted to be compensated for such of mess of a dining experience, she quipped "well since you've eaten most of it, I doubt they will do anything for you". We HADN'T eaten even close to half at that point, but I didn' more

I was fooled 2/7/2007

Way too over-priced...way too over hyped... Pros: good soda Cons: eveything else more

Lamb Excellent. 8/5/2006

We went here with my mother and father when they were in from NY. My father and I both had the porthouse and my mother and husband had the rack of lamb. \r \r I found the porterhouse delious however it was a bit gristly. The flavor of the meat was amazing.\r \r The rack of lamb was "to die for". It was so tender it fell off the bone. My husband, a hug lamb lover, has been begging to go back.\r \r We all got the ranch potatoes which were really good.\r \r We also had the calamari which was okay for a non-Italian eatery.\r \r They also had a kid's menu for my son. PROS: Great Food. Kid's Menu. CONS: Cost. more

Truly the Best Steaks 7/1/2006

I agree with the other review that this is the best steak in Vegas. I lived there for over 6 months, and tried many of the so-called top ranked steak houses. The Porterhouse at Bob Taylors is absolutely the best I've ever had at a restaurant anywhere period!. The sauteed chicken livers are my second favorite along with the wonderful garlic bread. Well worth the trip 15 miles north of town. PROS: Food, Western Atmosphere, Staff CONS: I am no longer in Vegas to enjoy it! more

Not a good choice 2/26/2006

Wow this place was bad, but packed with people. The tables are virtually on top of each other, I was actually unwillingly engaged in the next party's conversation. We ordered 2 16oz NY strips, I am willing to bet they weren't even 10oz each. Very fatty and tough as leather. Took 1 hr 15 mins to get the meal after sitting down. Lobster tail was like a rubber ball. At least it was expensive...and the food was cold. STAY AWAY! Cons: poor service, bad steaks, expensive more

Pass 11/19/2005

I was really hoping that this would be a hidden gem for Las Vegas. It has been around for 20 years and I'm not sure why. The food was overpriced and not even worth the time it took to find the place. I say pass on this one. more
