Tech was professional and friendly. Found a problem with our Boan installed upstairs furnace and humidifier. Apparently a wire wasn't properly disconnected when new humidifier was installed and could cause furnace to blow fuse in furnace. Tech recreated the problem during maintenance. Fixed more

Took Care Of My Furnace When I Needed It 2/23/2017

The people over at Boan Heating and Cooling were there when I needed them. My furnace was acting up a little bit and kept shutting off on its own randomly. I gave these guys a call and they were able to get someone out to my house within an hour which was excellent. The guy that they sent out really knew what he was doing and did a really nice job. I really like this company and would recommend them to anyone. more

I have depended on their services for almost 20 years. Their service has always been scheduled at a time convenient to me. The service technicians are personable and professional. I appreciate their reminder calls in the spring and fall. I had a unique experience when I my home was inspected for sale and my installation was questioned as to safety and code compliance. They took the time to explain how the furnace was safe and properly installed and how it was installed to code for my buyer. They did this expediently and without charge. more

I have been a customer for 35 years. They have technicians on-call 24/7 ... and I appreciate that. When I called after the office was closed, a technician called me back to make sure I didn't need something even though I didn't leave a message. I have personally had very good luck with them over the years. more

So far everything with the work I have had done by Boan Heating and Cooling Inc has gone quite well. I had them recently come out to take a look at the A/C unit and heater they installed a while back. The people that came out to take a look at it were very kind and professional while they were here getting work done, and if anything has ever gone wrong, we give them a call and they are generally able to get back out to us very quickly. I will definitely continue to use their services when I need, and I highly recommend them. more

I recently went to Boan Heating and Cooling Inc to have some maintenance work done on the heating unit at my home. The people from Boan were able to get out to us quickly and took a look at the heating unit, once they diagnosed what the issue was they were able to get the repair done very quickly. Overall I would say the work was done very well for a good price, I would definitely use them again. more

I had Boan Heating and Cooling install new Air Conditioner and Furnace in my house back in 2011 which uses the new R-410A freon. Every since then the system has had issues of one thing or another... Last year I had them come out to my house to check on my system. They had to put in 7 lb of freon so I had them run a leak test, since there has to be an issue why the system needed that much freon being it is only couple years old. I was told I had a pin hole leak in the A-Coil and was leaking freon. They advised that I need to change out the coil and wanted to charge me more money to change the coil out saying that it wasn't covered. I had another company come out to check my system and inspect my system and have been told that the system was never installed correctly for the R-410 system according to the manufactures recommendation.\r \r They also went as far as to put me on their never to service list which I thought was funny. I am now having to deal with the warranty issue myself and to get this new coil installed correctly.\r \r I will never use Boan Heating & Cooling and will never recommend this company to anyone even if they are under new management. They do not stand by their work and are not a reputable company. I have done some research and found out that I am not the only one that this has happened to... Stay away from them as they will rip you off. more

I am sorry we used Boan. Their follow up service was good, but it took them three time to wire $18,000 worth of equipment correctly. Not happy and will not use again. We went to another company for our regular maintanenace agreement. I recommend checking some other place. more

Would Never Trust This Company 12/15/2010

OMG. My house almost blew up, if MO GAS ENERGY guy didn't show immediately. We called for our yearly furnace service, Boan guy come did whatever they do to service a furnace, then I left for work. Came home in the evening and the house smell like GAS! Did an emergency call and Mo Gas Energy tell me that apparently the Boan guy forgot to put a cap back on a line that carry gas to blower in furnace, pure gas was just blowing out every time furnace kicked on! Lucky house didn't blow up. Shut off furnace and temperature outside is in the 20s. Since it's after hour Boan didn't have after hour service. What a joke this company is. more

ASK ABOUT FEES BEFORE COME OUT 6/3/2009

Last August paid $350 for someone to come out and fix my air conditioner. Now its June of the following year and my air conditioner isnt putting out cold air. I was informed that my air conditioner is probably leaking freeon and thats why it is not providing cool air. I was informed that I was going to have to pay $36 per pound of freeon and also pay $96 for a visit. When we called and talked to them over the phone they didnt mention the price of $96 for coming out. We thought we had a warranty that would at least include that, but it didnt. It looks like you have a 30day warranty to save you from another service charge visit. I paid the $96 just to have the same problem as before. There was no way I was going to allow them to temporarily fix it again for another $150 freeon fee. Will not do business again with this company, will look at other businesses that will stand behind their service. Wish I wouldnt have paid $350 in the first place + another $96 today. This stinks. Cons: 30day warranty and charge $96 to come out without telling u more

At Boan Heating & Cooling we put customer service first. We run about 5000 service calls a year. Every once in awhile every business has a customer that wants more than they pay for. The new furnace and coil warranty doesn't extend to the old air conditioner. more

Rip Off! Bait and switch! Equipment that has never worked right. 7/15/2008

I called Boan because my Lennox Air Conditioner (just a few years old) was running almost all of the time but not cooling well. They stated I needed a new coil unit. I also purchased a new furnace upon their recommendation, since it was approximately 17 years old. They gave me a bid on a new Lennox furnace and on an American Standard. I told the to install the Lennox furnace and the new coil unit. They damaged my old furnace and coil unit extensively while removing them then informed me that the Lennox furnace they had would not fit in the space available but they had an American Standard that would. This is a large room, so I can't imagine how big that Lennox furnace was. They assured me that the American Standard furnace would work with my Lennox air conditioner and that I would be pleased and wouldn't have to wait without air conditioning for a Lennox furnace. The air conditioner did not work immediately and a few days later they made an ""after hours call"" (late afternoon) and made some adjustments to the system and the technician told me it would probably need more work and to call back during regular business hours because he had to make another call. Boan will not make a service call unless you agree to a service charge in advance. I spent several thousand dollars, paid in cash, and got ripped off every way possible. Air conditioner is just the same as when I called. It doesn't work or cool properly. What a bunch of scumbags!. Spend your money on a reputable company instead. I am not going to spend good money after spending bad money on this company, like I am sure they would like for me to. It appears that they think once they rip you off they have their hand in your pocket from that time on. People like this give others in the industry a bad name. They are a big rip off! Pros: None, they are not a reputable company Cons: Did not repair air conditioner as stated they would. Bait and switch on new furnace. more
