Went to Blue Point last night and it was AMAZING! Our server, Justin ( I think that's his name) made the already fantastic atmosphere and food even better! He recommended a great bottle of wine (Cyrus), helped us narrow down the entrees to scallops for myself and the sea bass for my boyfriend and both dishes were beyond tasty and cooked to absolute perfection. When it came time to choose a dessert, we went with two since they both sounded so good-he lemon pave and the vanilla ricotta cheesecake. It was the perfect meal and the service was impeccable. Our server was friendly and personal without being annoying and attentive without lingering. I've read the reviews that say it's pricey but you know that going in and as for the reviewer who wrote that it's all ambience rather than food in SD, she should come down to LA to realize she's got a lot to be thankful for in SD. I've lived in LA for two years and Blue has been my best dining experience. Now, if only they could open one down here!
Pros: Service, food, wine list.
Cons: Can be pricey for those expecting a less expensive meal.
