Great Designers&Friendly Staff 10/16/2011

Love this store!!!\r \r I couldn't disagree more with the previous reviewers. I had a great experience at Blue&Cream on the Bowery. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about their designers. I also met the owner Jeff and he seemed like a super nice guy. \r \r I found a great pair of boots on sale from Loeffler Randall that I have been living in. Also found a great printed dress from Charlotte Ronson (at the suggestion of the sales girl) and a some jbrand jeans that I got for like half off.\r \r I was truthfully obsessed with everything in the store, the only thing I regret is that I could not afford it all, although there were some great finds in their sale rack. They also have some great mens clothing and fun accessories.\r \r Don't listen to the other reviewers. To me they just sound like disgruntled customers with a personal vendetta who are out to hurt a truly lovely boutique.\r more

The owner is a pompous, arrogant, jerk. If you dont believe it, search for him on google- theres plenty of interview and commentary on this guy. Even though there are some great lines in the stores, I wouldnt want to give this guy a penny. more

BUYER BEWARE! 1/1/2010

This retailer is a joke. I bought a pair of Rag & Bone boots for $550 on line and when I received them they were not made out of the leather they advertised on their website. They also had so much wear on the bottom of the shoes, I could not believe they sold them to me at full price. When I opened the box, which was falling apart, the boots looked like they were thrown in with the crumpled up tissue paper.  I went down to the store on Bowery St. and this is were the bizarre madness began. The manager told me, ""yes you are right, but the owner is on vacation and we are not sure how to handle this.""  How to handle this I said? You just refund my purchase. She looked at me dumb founded and said she could not do anything without the owner. So I ask you, the owner Jeff Goldstein, why are you paying someone to manage this store?""?? So it only gets better...another employee is trying to sympathize with me and everyone is saying I am right. I see one of the employees texting Jeffery Goldstein and says the owner will only let me have a store credit. Now remember, they shipped me the incorrect boot. I said ""absolutely not"". I waited around a few more minutes and said, ""look, it's late, I want to go home. I said I would take them if there was a significant discount and the manager said let me text the owner.?? Here is the end...The manager came back and quoted the owner. There was no way he would give me a discount and now I would not get a store credit either. He told the manager the picture on the website is right and there are variations in leather. Ok, I work for one of the biggest leather handbag companies in the world, and is he really going there??? This is why you are a bad retailer and you participate in unfair biz practices Jeffrey Goldstein. When you advertise a boot made out of Nappa (soft & subtle) and you ship Pebble (rough & dull) you are WRONG!  If I was you Mr. Goldstein, I'd watch out for those sharks... more
