I have always wanted to visit the graveyards in New Orleans, so I finally did! I am very glad I picked Bloody Mary's Tours! It was a great experience and I will definitely book another tour with this company again. \r
Gina was our guide, and she met us outside the Beachcorner Bar on Canal Street. She briefly explained what the plan was, told us a little about herself, and the reason there were so many cemeteries in this particular area. Then we started the tour.\r
There were only 8 people in the tour, which was a great size to ask questions, and move through the cemeteries. We visited 4 cemeteries, and walked by several others, which unfortunately were closed. This tour began at 5:00 pm, and most of the cemeteries were closed and locked by 4:30. \r
The cemeteries we did get to visit were amazing, and Gina told us how and why the people of New Orleans are buried this way. She told us tales of strange happenings during her visits in the cemeteries, and even proved it to us by having random members of the group do small things.\r
I will take another tour with Bloody Mary's Tours. I would recommend taking a daytime tour, so you get to walk into more cemeteries, though.
