My husband and I were in New Orleans for Mardi Gras last week and met another couple in our hotel who had nothing but good things to say about Bloody Mary's Tours. I called her the day before we left and she was able to fit us into a cememery tour later that day. Her tour was spectacular! My husband was not as interested in the story of New Orlean's dead as I was, but once the two hour tour was over he was a convert! Mary took us to several cemetarys and at one point I was overcome with the power of where we were. She was everything and more than what we were both expecting. more

I had never been to New Orleans before and highly suggest this tour of the macabre. First it helps orient you to the French Quarter and second it provides you with the proper perspective in which to truly enjoy New Orleans mystique and ambiance! The history was well intertwined with the ghostly phenomenon and we even caught interesting photos! Loved this tour! more

This was a different tour and shared more about the history, culture and people who make up the city of New Orleans. Mary was our guide and was very informative as well as respectful of the city that she was sharing with us as visitors. Amazing and worthwhile to take the Back o' Town Tour and 3 City Cemetery Tours. more

This was an excellent tour that really explored the spiritual side of NOLA. It was very informative and exciting. I highly recommend for the traveler who want to ""feel"" New Orleans. more

This was one of the most fascinating, informative and entertaining tours I've ever taken in all the cities I've visited. My tour (Haunted City van tour) was led by Bloody Mary herself. Her knowledge of the occult is unmatched and her storytelling leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat. Our three hour plus tour flew by and we were disappointed when it came to an end. If you're lucky (as well as open-minded) you may have a spiritual experience of your own. I did and it's quickly become my favorite travel story to tell to date. more

On our last night in New Orleans we did the haunted pub tour. Matthew was our guide. He was very informative and entertaining. We started at Lafitte's Blacksmith shop on Bourbon and ended the night May Bailey's. This is a great way to see the French Quarter, learn the history and grab a few drinks. One thing I would say though is that this isn't a ghost story tour where they try to scare you or get you drunk. I truly is hanuted history or a fascinating city. Also, the bars we stopped at were interesting and one's I never would've known about had I not gone on the tour. Very fun! Make sure you grab a snack before the 4:30 time though because you will either get drunk or be starving by the end! more

Greatly knowledgeable, Bloody Mary teaches you interesting and fun facts about her NO. Walking tour is easy paced with a bathroom/water break halfway. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend. more

As a way to keep ourselves out of too much trouble on our last night in NOLA, our group decided to book a tour and stumbled upon the Haunted Pub Tour offered by Bloody Mary's tour. Wow, could we not have been luckier!\r \r Matthew was our tour guide for the evening and it ended up just being the 10 of us in our group on the tour. It was also Easter Sunday so there were parades going on in the Quarter during the tour. \r \r Matthew was not only extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject matter, but he was also considerate of what the group wanted and scaled the pace of the tour to match other things we wanted to see (for example, slowing down during the time the tour overlapped with the parade so we could view some of it).\r \r We learned a ton of history about NOLA and look forward to being back down there to take another of the tours offered by Bloody Mary's as soon as possible! more

Mary has a very unique charm when it comes to her storytelling and her intrinsic historical knowledge of New Orleans is wonderful to listen to. Highly recommended and I would do it again! more

This is my second time doing a tour with Mary and they just keep getting better! Mary is the real deal. She's very into her beliefs and shares interesting stories with you along your tour. We had a special tour made for a large group and she took us all around the different cemeteries stopping at different interesting points. If your looking for a cookie cutter experience then I would suggest booking a tour with someone else. Her passion is what makes the tour so great. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nola! more

I hired Mary for a private paranormal tour of French Quarter and it was soo fun and informative. She really took her time to show us all the paranormal site and stories! She is a kick in the pants with a great sense of humor! I never felt rushed in fact we were with her for four hours in a Sunday night! Everyone agreed it was the highlight of our New Orleans trip. She gave us a true feel of New Orleans culture. We took a lot of pictures and got ALOT of orbs in them! I KNOW crazy right!? But seeing is believing! We did take another tour while in NOLA from another very highly recommended company and it was very informative but didnt have nearly the charm or personality that Mary has. If you are in NOLA for a short time by all means check out Bloody Mary Tours! more

I am a huge fan of Bloody Mary's tours and of Mary herself. This must be the 5th time I've done a tour with her and it can't be beat. The first time I was on a ghost tour in New Orleans it was with one of the bigger tour companies and it was very fake and full of theatrics. Mary is very knowledgable about the city and a real practicing voodoo priestess. If you want a real authentic look inside New Orleans look no further. \r \r The Ghost Town Tour/private tour: This was actually the second time I've done this particular tour and it was just as cool as the first time. Brought 8 of my friends with me and they all loved it, paranormal believers and skeptics alike. We went to Holt cemetery which is the coolest cemetery you could imagine with handmade grave markers! We also went to Mary's house and did a voodoo ritual to contact our ancestors. It was awesome! Can't stress enough how fun and what an authentic experiece it was. \r \r I've also done the Back o'Town tour which was informative and cool. We made our own voodoo dolls in Congo Square and learned a lot about the city. As well as the Tour of the Undead which is also really awesome if you wanna do something in the French quarter. If you book early I believe you can request to have Mary as your guide, I personally wouldn't want anyone else. \r \r Bloody Mary is awesome! Would recommend her to anyone wanting to do this kind of tour in New Orleans! more

I have always wanted to visit the graveyards in New Orleans, so I finally did! I am very glad I picked Bloody Mary's Tours! It was a great experience and I will definitely book another tour with this company again. \r \r Gina was our guide, and she met us outside the Beachcorner Bar on Canal Street. She briefly explained what the plan was, told us a little about herself, and the reason there were so many cemeteries in this particular area. Then we started the tour.\r \r There were only 8 people in the tour, which was a great size to ask questions, and move through the cemeteries. We visited 4 cemeteries, and walked by several others, which unfortunately were closed. This tour began at 5:00 pm, and most of the cemeteries were closed and locked by 4:30. \r \r The cemeteries we did get to visit were amazing, and Gina told us how and why the people of New Orleans are buried this way. She told us tales of strange happenings during her visits in the cemeteries, and even proved it to us by having random members of the group do small things.\r \r I will take another tour with Bloody Mary's Tours. I would recommend taking a daytime tour, so you get to walk into more cemeteries, though. more

A friend of ours that we were traveling with booked the After Dark tour for our group and we are so glad she did. Being our first time in New Orleans and our first ghost tour, we had no idea what to expect. We met our guide Gina at the historically significant Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar in the French Quarter. Our tour included a night cemetery walk where we got some very interesting and peculiar images with our cell phones, as well as a stop at Bloody Mary’s house. This is the same house where Nick and Aaron from Ghost Adventures got freaked out with poltergeist and “malevolent spirit” activity (I watched the episode as soon as I got home). While at the house I got to view real-time night vision video of glowing orbs swirling around people in my group walking around other parts of the house. We also got to review photo evidence of phenomena captured during the cemetery and house walks. It doesn’t get any better than that! Gina and Bloody Mary were very patient and open with us regarding questions about New Orleans history, voodoo, and the paranormal. It was a mind-expanding evening that comes highly recommended! more

I have visiting New Orleans for well over 20 years and EVERY time I visit I go on a Bloody Mary Tour. Why? Because she is professional, knowledgeable, fun and consistently high quality. I have done other tours and likely will never again. I am an author and a paranormal researcher. So, credible information and a direct experience of the spirit=world is very important to me. I have been her ghost, vampire, voodoo and cemetery tours and have loved them all. I have also attended her rituals and found them to be powerful. Go! Enjoy! Learn and experience! more

Bloody Mary was extremely knowledgeable and a true gem! I am recommending her to everybody I know whenever they come to New Orleans. She answered all of our questions and taught us many things about New Orleans and Voodoo that we did not know. Don't waste your time on any other tour -- this is the one!! Thank you so much Bloody Mary, you are awesome! more

Wow this was one of the best tours hands down. Mary knows so much history about NOLA. This isn't just a ghost tour it is so much more. You can see and feel just how much Mary loves New Orleans. On our tour she took us to quite a few places and we took some awesome pictures. I caught a lot of orbs and got to know New Orleans a lot better. She was very pleasant and made us feel comfortable. Going back soon and will definitely book another tour. People if you want to do a ghost tour this is the one you will get so much more in this tour. more

I was somewhat skeptical when I read about the City and Cemetery night tour, especially when I seen how much it was. But boy did we get our money's worth. We met up with our guide Gina around 7:30pm and it was nearly 11pm before we got back. We have done ghost tours in Savannah and Charleston and this one was the best by far. I don't want to say everything that the ghost tour did so not to spoil surprises because that is the best part!! Keep an open mind and you will be impressed!! more

My friend got sick the day before the tour. We contacted bloody mary about our situation and she was very understanding. She gave us a full refund and invited us back the next time we came back to New Orleans. So even though we didn't go on the tour, we had a wonderful experience with her. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 9/5/2014

The tour was way better that I expected. I went into the tour thinking it was going to be more of an attempt to scare us. It was not that. In this tour you learn a lot about New Orleans and its history that you never heard about. Our tour guide Gina was great. I would definately recommend this tour. more
