Great place for the whole fam. 7/27/2006

I am not a fan in swimming in water parks but I have to say that it was very clean.. Went down a few slides which were awesome...of course you reach the bottm with a wedgie but that is the way it goes...lol.. They have lockers so you don't have to worry about hauling around your stuff. I prefered floating around the river on a tube all day long...met people from all around the world. It was great. The food wasn't that pricey. I had a few strawberry smoothies and enjoyed watching all the families having a wonderful time together as I got a tan on the beach... Don't forget the wave pool...they have plenty of lifeguards throughout the park so no need to worry. Try to go during the week for less lines...but that is a given. :) PS..Don't forget the sunscreen and towel.. more

Snow in Florida? Only Disney could pull it off! 4/9/2006

Blizzard Beach is a snow storm themed water park located at Walt Disney World. The water park has a nice lazy river and many water slides. Being pregnant I was unable to go on any of the slides but was able to enjoy the river and also enjoyed just relaxing near the water. The rest of the family had a great time going down slides although they complained that a couple of them gave bad "wedgies". The ski lift that takes customers up to the top of the water slide mountain worried me a bit because it was having problems on the day we were there and at least twice it stopped for ten minutes or more with people hanging mid-air. I was concerned that my kids would be stuck. We had a good time at Blizzard Beach and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. more

Blizzard Beach 3/26/2006

Blizzard Beach is a water park in Forida with amazing theming (a freak blizzard hit Florida, they built a ski slope, the snow melted, hence its name). It is so much fun! Although I didn't care that much for their really tall water slide (15 walk for a 5 second ride and the fear of losing your suit!), their family sized innertube ride is great (more weight= faster ride). Be aware that Blizzard Beach is HUGE! It is easy to lose people and you have to walk A LOT!!! Also, its expensive, but it can be added on to a My Way pass for very little and is a relaxing break from the parks. more
