Editorial review from Citysearch 1/20/2014

Awesome gift shop. Many texas themed gifts in all price ranges. Everything is cutesy and fun. Whimsical. Nothing is cheap, but items are unique and quality. They carry purses, jewelry, clothing, wall and home decor like pillows and wall art. If something is the new ""it item"", they probably carry it here. My 12 year old daughter and her friends love it. Occasionally they carry Alamo Heights tshirts (like Howdy Night time). I recommend it. more

Very Cute Boutique 3/15/2012

My parents live in San Antonio, and I visited this shop recently with my mom. She frequents the shopping center in Alamo Heights where Bless Your Heart is located, and she's been raving about it for months. I was excited to visit and it really lived up to my expectations. There are tons of decorations for the home, and the back half of the store is devoted to clothing and accessories. If you are looking for lovely, whimsical clothing, then you have to check out Bless Your Heart. I could spend hours trying on the clothing, and the sales associates are extremely helpful and friendly. My one complaint is that there are too many clothes on each rack, and they are shoved together on wire hangers, which makes it extremely difficult to browse styles and sizes. I always try to do my part when shopping and like to return the clothing to the racks after I've tried the items on, but there was no way to do this easily at my visit. It's great that there is such a large selection, but because the clothing is crammed so tightly, it makes it difficult to shop. And many of the items are beaded or of fragile fabrics, so I worry that the clothing might be easily damaged this way. When I visited with my mom and sister recently, we were constantly drawn to a few items of clothing that were displayed in a more careful way, and we realized that this was the plus-size area. If the other clothing could be arranged like this, it might help to draw attention to them in a more pleasing manner. Struggling through the clothes racks reminded me a bit of shopping at discount stores where items are marked down and organized by size in the clearance section, but Bless Your Heart is definitely not a discount store. It's really lovely and has beautiful merchandise, but it could be improved by better organizing the clothing on the racks. more
