Blackhawk Hardware

I do my best to support local business and even though blackhawk hardware tends to more expensive than the big box store near by, but they will never see another dime of my money after my experience today. I have never received what I would call great customer service when shopping at Blackhawk the associates have always seemed very aloof, but today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I was looking for a specialty electrical part so I figured would call ahead to see if they had it in stock. Once i was transferred to the electrical dept i was promptly put on hold where I remained for over 5 min. When the store associate finally picked up he just said ""YEAH"" to which I replied ""hey hows your day"" his reply? "" BUSY..COME ON WHAT DO YOU WANT?"". I was the one who waited on hold for over 5 min and was still trying to be friendly, this guy shouldn't have any job that requires him to speak with customers. If Blackhawk Hardware expects me to pay more for something I can easily get less than a mile away they ought to treat their customers better than that! Blackhawk hardware in the Park Road Shopping Center has lost my business for good! more

i stopped at the gardening center to purchase some new plants. the clerk asked if she could help me and if i had any questions. so i politely asked my question. she barked some rules at me then answered her cell phone. never came back to answer my question. i will never do business there. rude and arrogant. more

Honestly I can't think of a single bad thing about this store, other than how boyfriends and husbands seem to never want to leave! Great customer service, the best selection of cabinet hardware and kitchen ware I've ever encountered, and the most amazing plant selection in the garden center, makes this my favorite hardware store of all time. I love to d.i.y. and when I'm not sure I have what I need for the project, or exactly how to do it, I know the helpful staff at Blackhawk will help me make it perfect. I'll never bother with another big box store as long as Blackhawk is around! Pros: beautiful housewares, decor, garden center, & free popcorn Cons: too many awesome products! more

I stopped by Blackhawk Hardware recently and enjoyed the wide variety, but the sales help - who were very aggressively ""helpful"" - had a hard time directing me to the item I was looking for. Then when I got to the registers, two young women were standing together at one register chatting - about personal stuff, not work - one glanced up and, very dismissively said, ""over there"" pointing to the next register (which had a line). I can get that type of servivce at one of the big box stores with lower prices - no need to go back to Blackhawk unless there is something I can't find elsewhere. NOT ONLY IS THE HAREWARE STORE THE MOST UNIQUE UPSCALE HAREWARE STORE I'VE EVER BEEN IN, BUT THE GARDEN CENTER IS AMAZING AND WORTH THE TRIP ALONE! IT'S LIKE WALKING THROUGH A BOTANIAL GARDEN! more

If you need help finding that certain hardware item and the big boxes didn't cut it you should visit Blackhawk in the Park Road Shopping Center.Their staff can help you with anything from paint to finding that "funny little thing shaped like a" that got you the quizzical look from the teenager at Lowes or Home Depot. more

Blackhawk is a REAL hardware store. If you can't find it there, it probably does not exist. I had almost given up trying to find door push plates in brushed nickel until I found them at Blackhawk. Customer service is outstanding. There is always a person available to help you find what you are looking for. I just wish they would open a store here in Myrtle Beach. Pros: they have everything you could ever need! Cons: the store is over 200 miles away from me. more
