This "gastro-pub" is great for first dates or dates with spouses, groups, friends, etc. It's not especially romantic, and I mean that in a good way.
The food is delicious--the hanger steak and seven-spice shrimp should not be missed. The wine list is thorough and considerate (amazing how hard this can be for restaurants).
It's modern enough that you feel like you're "going out", but it's comfortable and very reasonably priced. We've had nothing but professional and pleasant service. And it's open late!
Last time we were there we saw Tom Douglas eating at the bar. I don't think he's reviewed it on Judy's Book.
Black Bottle and Lark are by far the two best new restaurants in Seattle, in my hungry opinion.
