After seeing Biringer Farms five star rating on GoCityKids, I decided to take my toddler there to pick raspberries today. The trip started out fine. However, because it was such a hot day, the staff suggested we ride the tractor out into the fields. I was concerned about being left out there too long and explicitly asked before we left how often they came around to pick people up. We were told they would be around every thirty minutes or sooner. The tractor did indeed come back around after about fifteen minutes and almost all of the pickers got back on and left. We stayed for another fifteen minutes and then headed back to the drop off location to wait to be picked up. They never came. We waited for 45 minutes. I even tried calling them, but only received a prerecorded message. So we walked back. When I politely told the staff the situation, they were rude and defensive and offered excuses about not knowing that anyone was out there and that we weren't waiting in the correct location etc. I was very irritated that they took the situation so lightly as I stood there with an exhausted two year-old, dripping from the heat. This will be our last trip to Biringer Farms and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with small children. I would prefer to patronize farms with friendlier staff and organic produce such as the South 47 Farm in Woodinville.
