Living close by I have been there a quite few times some years back in the ""dive"" days and always saw it as the typical neighborhood bar. Now sporting a new look, menu, and clientele I decided to give it a try. My first experience, albeit during the breakfast round, was not a good one. For starters there were 5 tables after my arrival, some were eating others had drinks, seemingly very lax. It took 7 minutes to be acknowledged. We (my group of 2) ordered our drinks and one of them was wrong. I had to flag down someone to correct. They ran out of coffee leaving me and other waiting, c'mon this should be a Sunday morning priority and there only 5 tables! Our food came in reasonable time but one order was botched and had to be returned. When it came back correct almost immediately we were asked if we needed anything else, all the time one of the wait staff was engaging us in conversation to quell the awkward moment, it was never noticed we had no flatware, so our answer was yes! Service & organization are poor.
Pros: The stench of the former establishment has been miraculously removed
Cons: A very cliched Highland startup, lackluster menu, average food, bad service, over priced
