Best Friends Resort is a step up from the old kennels, where dogs were kept in cages and not socialized. They offer cageless daycare, which allows the dogs to learn to interact with other dogs. It is a big business and there are a LOTS of dogs. When my son and I toured the facility, one of the cages, located in the boarding section, was left open. The dog was OK, but it was a second tier cage. I found this very troublesome. It was feeding time and we were told the lady was coming right back. I guess mistakes are bound to happen, but it's still a scary situation.
PROS: Better than old-fashion kennels
CONS: LOTS and LOTS of dogs
