Ben's Kosher Deli & Restaurant

Ben's has been a favorite of mine ever since I can remember. When I was living out in California this was one of those places I missed. Ben's is a kosher restaurant which serves meat. You will find no dairy or pork products here due to this being a kosher establishment. One of the things I love about this place is they bring pickles (half sour and full sour) to the table for everyone. I LOVE sour pickles. I always look forward to this tangy, salt infused treat. This is accompanied by cole-slaw, though I do not indulge in this. At this particular Ben's I ordered a half sandwich and soup. For the soup I had the Matzah Ball and it came in a rather large bowl with one nice sized Matzah Ball. The temperature was perfect and the Soup and Noodles complemented each other perfectly. For my Half Sandwich I had Extra Lean Pastrami and while it was a Half Sandwich it was rather fulfilling. There are also burgers, Potato Latkes, and the other popular "noshes" you would expect to find at this kind of place. more

Ben's is the place for you to go for comfort foods like your mother used to make, even if your mother wasn't Jewish the Matzo ball soup, potato pancakes, giant sandwiches and gefilte fish will have you feeling comforted just the same. Ben's delivery is made in a converted EMS vehicle with chicken soup pictured on it. It is an energetic place that is fun to eat at. more

As the title states.. a wide variety of old world Kosher cuisine and new favorites. Very enjoyable food for those with both old and new tastes. The service is fast and friendly and the food is very very good. They constantly have specials available for takeout and are very family friendly. They give out samples of their food while you wait to be seated for a few minutes and once you are seated you automatically receive waters, cole slaw, and pickles. The restaurant is very modern looking and features art on the walls of skyscrapers being built in Manhattan. more
