The food here is less than great! It could be possible that since it is a chain that the result is poor food quality and lacks good entertainment!

"The service & food are just not there"\r \r The lady that sat us (seemed pretty ghetto) and the waiter who servered our drinks and explained the menu were very unprofessional. They rushed through the menu and specials as if it were a race.\r \r The chef seemed to be jacked up on Mountain Dew because he was very messy, food fell on my mother-in-laws arm twice as well as a few other people. \r \r I will not visit another Benihana restaraunt any time soon. more

poor excuse for restaurant 3/24/2012

would never go back to this place more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 3/23/2012

This restaurant is way over rated. I would never waste my time going to this place again. We made reservations, showed up on time only to wait for an hour before being seated. My family and I decided to take a stroll down the street while waiting. We ran into some very upset neighbors. What we were told shocked us. They actually told us to call the local pest control companies and asked us to question about the rodent issue concerning the restaurant and the palms surrounding. After losing my appetite and being annoyed for waiting an hour, I decided to give the company mentioned a call. 32 rats were taken from the palms at Benihana. I think I'll be visiting the Benihana down south from now on. more

Horrible 3/23/2012

Where should I even begin. The experience with this place has never been one worth talking about. They over book, I've left this place with a nail in my tire the first time and the second time I had to wait almost 55 mins even when making reservations!! I have no time for their inability to schedule, mediocre food and average service. This city has way too many great restaurants to choose from. more

This place is really only good for a large group of people. If you are a couple your at risk for getting sat with screaming children, and nobody likes that. The happy hour is good if your looking for a quick after work drink or snack. more

I went here for my birthday a few years ago and the food was really good. I do like it, but I have been to better hibachi restaurants. I will continue to seek those out rather than returning here because I don't get that "authentic" feeling. more

The best asian food, they cook right in front of you. Very entertaining! Thank you Benihana for a wonderful evening more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 9/3/2010

The food is so salty, you drink water for hours after a meal. The meal(s) we had were basically, shrimp, steak and chicken with mounds of white rice - some bean sprouts and ginger sauce (with tons of salty soy sauce)....the tastes are bland and do nothing for the palate for a taste of Japan or whatever asian fusion they are going for. I will say the view is pretty....but when the check arrives, the view is obstructed. more

......How do I say this nicely. This restaurant is the MCDONALDS of hibachi restaurants. The original Benihana used to be the ultimate Asian oasis roughly 15+ years ago before it became so commercialized & corporate. We used to sit near big picture windows on soft cushions with our shoes removed, with hot towels while my parents had a drink before dinner. NOW, it surprisingly attracts a great amount of low income/questionable clientele and customers. You'll want to hold on to your purse here, it might get snatched. more

When I went there and the hibachi chef asked me how I wanted my beef cooked and I replied well done he then rudely said we don't burn our meat at benihana. For the quality of their they definitly overcharge. I strongly suggest to go somewhere else! more

Best Restaurant for Entertaining 3/15/2005

Hibachi table seating makes this dining experience an entertaining one. I love their fried rice. Hands down Benihana makes the best fried rice. Hibachi lobster tails are better than steamed. The chef's are quite the entertainers and service is prompt and courteous. I have never had a problem at this restaurant and always look forward to my next visit. I have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years. more
