For Knitters\Crocheters 2/1/2009

I go to ben franklins usually for yarn. they have a much wider selection than michael's or jo-ann's but the prices are on the pricey side. usually for non-worsted weight yarns i will order at knitpicks.com. i've never seen ben franklin's have sales on yarns (unless it is stuff that i don't want to work with anyway). i come to ben franklins when i want something that isn't available at michaels or jo-anns more

Poor customer service 1/19/2009

I was quoted a price on a product, when I returned to purchase the product the pricing was grossly erroneous! I was misquoted at first, but then told that they would do nothing concerning the huge price change! I wasted an hour of my time, plus gas to return back to the store. The manager didn't seem to be bothered, and was only willing to drop the price by 20% when I was quoted 700% higher than the original price! Michael's and Joannes are much more customer friendly when they make mistakes. Ben Franklin is more like "tough luck". I think I will stay with their competitors. more

Good selection 8/7/2008

Good: I liked the selections they have, and the service. Most of the essentials they have. Bad: Prices are not as competitive as Michael's. Improvements: The store layout is little cluttered. more

Best Framing 8/16/2006

Ben Franklin is one of the best frame shops around. I have framed many pieces here, as have family & friends. Their staff is very knowledgable and patient (as I can take forever picking out a frame). Their prices are competitive, maybe slightly higher than some places. They have always been ontime as well. If you need something framed, I would definietly recommend Ben Franklin. more

Ben Franklin Crafts 3/21/2006

Ben Franklin is a super-store for craft lovers from beginner to expert. It is a very popular store with a wide selection of craft and framing needs. I am not a crafty person myself but I enjoy browsing the store for art supplies for my children. I also find that by framing something myself, although it doesn't necessarily look as professional (because I am doing it and am not the most skilled person in the world), it saves a lot of money over getting it done by a framing shop. more

Got crafts 3/16/2006

The Redmond Ben Franklin Craft store is by far the best craft store I've ever been in. They have everything a crafter could want. Their silk flower selection is fantastic. They have a great frames section and framers on-site to help you or frame your stuff for you. There's a fantastic jewelry making section with knowledgeable salespeople who will actually help you with a smile. They have candles, paper, envelopes, an amazing collection of stickers, yarn, boxes, paint, you name it. And, my #1 reason for going here: they will HELP you! Love this place. more

My favorite craft store...a little bit of everything and a lot of stuff I've never seen 8/17/2005

BF is like the kid going into a candy store--how they manage to pack so much into so small a space is surely a feat in and of itself. This local craft store has materials for yarn crafts--crochet, knitting, etc--to rubber stamping--inks, paper, stamps, embossing--to scrapbooking--paper, paper, paper! Looking for some floral craft stuff? They've got it. How about some beading materials? They've got that too. Staff gives daily demos, plus they often get strange and unusual or hard to find things...my life-sized motorized flamingo for one...Amy Brown Faery Divas for another. Give Ben Franklin a try, and you'll find your feet go this way every time you're in Redmond. more

A One-Stop Craft Store/ Scrapbooks, Fabric & More 8/16/2005

Ben Franklin's Craft and Frame Store is a great place to pick up a new hobby. They have everything from fabrics and sewing notions to beads and wire crafts. Their scrapbooking section rivals any scrapbook store. This store has a large selection of embroidery and children's crafts as well. They carry seasonal decorating merchandise such as candles and fake flowers. A large framing shop can be found at the back of the store. The are located Redmond- and have long store hours which makes it nice to run and get something you might have forgotten. Their staff is pleasant, but you usually have to find someone to help you. The prices are pretty average in the craft industry. more
