After graduating from The Ohio State University in 1978 and internships in Pittsburgh and Toledo, Mark Macri accepted a position with Erie Physical Therapy Associate, Inc. as a staff therapist at Millcreeek Community Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. While in Erie, he treated mainly orthopedic cases and gained valuable sports medicine experience, working with a semi-pro hockey team, the Erie Blades.
In 1988, Dr. Macri completed his graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh receiving his Masters Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In 1990, Mr. Macri was certified by the American Board of Physical therapy Specialties and the American Physical Therapy Association as a clinical specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and was recertified in April 2000. Less than one percent of the physical therapists nationally have achieved this certification. In 2001, Belmont Physical Therapy was voted the Number 1 Physical Therapy facility in the area by the subscribers to the "Times Leader." In 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005. In 2006, Dr. Macri received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree, From the University of St. Augustine
