Bell's Natural Stone

Great company!!! I was looking to match stone on my house but apparently no one had this stone anymore. I went to several large stone yards and no one seemed to give me the time of day. I spoke with Deanna and Bobby at Bell's and they said that the quarry no longer produces the material that their company has not carried it in some time. They could have just left it at that but instead he called the quarry and got a list of dealers that used to carry the stone. They called each dealer and a few still had a few tons left including one that told me that they no longer had the product. Long story short I ended up getting what I needed and Bell's did not make a penny off of me. However, I will recommend them to anyone and everyone and really appreciate their efforts. I'm giving this business a ""1"" because of my initial experience while picking out the rock,sand,mortar,etc. The person helping us (Ronald) seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. I went home, made my final measurements, then called back with my order on Monday. So far, so good. They told me my order would be delivered on Friday. Friday morning I called to confirm delivery. Deanna was very pleasant to talk to and told me they would be there early in the day. Around 4pm I started getting concerned and called to make sure they could find me. She told me I was last on the list but they would definitely be there. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. NO CALL, NOTHING. I had to turn down other work to wait on them, had to tear down my fence anticipating their forklift, and am now having to put up a temp fence for the dog. I also had to order dinner in, even though I had promised my kids to take them out. They called me the next day to see if I still wanted them to deliver. I asked for Monday but was told they didn't want to upset their other customers scheduled that day, as opposed to working a little late to fix their mistake. The owner(Ronald, again) told me that ""they get about 2 customers a year like me who are completely unreasonable, that I was acting like a kid and being ridiculous, that he had already told me sorry and that he would be better off not selling to me"". He then told me he had"" 5 other people working there and that he would put me on hold so that they could all apologize"". Very condescending!! He seemed to have multiple personalities. I was shocked. I was upset, but never raised my voice or said anything I wouldn't want my mom to hear. All they had to do originally was call me and let me know there was a problem and that they needed to reschedule. He also said ""there are no guarantees on delivery! that his mail might come at 12:00, 1:00, or sometimes 4:00"". I know I'm small in comparison to their regular accounts, but WHAT HAPPENED TO GOOD SERVICE? Pros: initial service before the sell. Cons: never delivered! lack of communication! need to invest in a working phone! more
