Belleville is awesome. Yes, the service is a bit spotty, but here's why I don't care:\r
1. The food is amazing. Better than almost any place I've been. WAY better than the Four Seasons. \r
2. Reasonable prices. Of course it isn't cheap, but it isn't bad either. And I think one of the ways they do that is by not allowing credit cards. Credit card companies charge businesses money if the businesses want their cusomers to be able to use credit cards. Sounds crazy but it's true. And Amex is less expensive for businesses than Visa or Mastercard. So yes, it's a pain they don't take anything but Amex, but the food would cost more if they did. \r
3. The atmosphere/design of the restaurant. Simply beautiful. Everything from the bathrooms to the floor to the lighting is perfect. Also, you don't have to dress up at all, yet it's a nice restaurant. \r

If you are the kind of person who demands excellent service, you probably won't like it here. I personally don't mind subpar service if the food is worth it. And man, is the food at Belleville worth it! I recommend everything, but the pork fillet, the scallops, and the steaks are truly inspired.
Pros: food, atmosphere, prices, wine list
Cons: slightly subpar service at times
