This B&B absolutely cannot be beat! The location is convenient, the neighborhood charming, the rooms cozy and comfortable, the breakfast generous, and the staff and owner friendly and welcoming. Staying here situates you close to the best that Capitol Hill has to offer. Joe Bar, only a block away, is the best coffee-shop in a city that prides itself on its coffee culture. Across the street from Joe Bar is the Harvard Exit Theatre. You are unlikely to find an art-house theatre with better ambiance anywhere. When you think you've exhausted all the day- and night-life on Broadway, you are just a short walk from 15th Ave., with all its great restaurants, coffee-houses, bars, and shops. Also convenient is Volunteer Park, designed by legendary architect Fredrick Law Olmsted (who also designed Central Park, in New York City). Downtown Seattle, with all its numerous attractions, is also a nice walk or a short bus ride from this wonderful B&B.\r
The proprietor is Linda Nyquist, a lifelong Seattle resident with deep roots in the city. Not only can she help you find interesting places to visit and things to do in the city, she is also a goldmine of colorful local history. With the help of her hard-working and helpful assistant, Ben, she keeps the house and grounds clean and tidy without diminishing the comfortable, homey feel that makes a good B&B so charming. If you have a bit of down-time and you're in the mood for fascinating conversation, seek out Linda. Her PhD studies have taken her to some fascinating places and provided her with remarkable insights and an engaging sense of curiosity.\r
If you'll be staying in Seattle, I can't think of a better base of operations than Linda Nyquist's Bed and Breakfast on Capitol Hill!
