I placed an ordered in the store because they don't have it in stock, they promised me that the items will arrive 2-3 weeks. I waited for 3 weeks and called them, they said they only have the loveseat, the sofa is not in stock yet(what goods does that make). So I waited for another few days, the sofa arrived and I went to pick it. When I opened it and install the legs I noticed that the loveseat is missing the screws to screw in the legs. Now the customer service part: I called customer service to stated that the loveseat is missing the hardwares, it will be amazing if they picked up the people's call....message, message, message. I left them a message, no one call me back its been 2 days. Right now I am screw without the screws and still trying to contact them. more

I have found everytime a good product for the money. Friendly helpful sales people. Will cover any defective for one year. The warrenty is worth everything for pennies. Any broken parts for 5 years. People have more time to complain, then to voice their satisfaction Many are very happy with Beck, I will shop their when in need. Becks advertised $500 in grocery (safeway) gift cards with the purchase of $500 or more in furniture. We purchased based on this promise. They have since refused to provide them and have instead offered 20% off of a future $2,500 purchase instead. I could not afford this to begin with, but took it out of my grocery budget and cannot buy any further furniture to take advantage of the offer. Pros: None! Cons: Tricked us into buying furniture more

We bought a set of dinette on July 26, 2009. We picked up the table on that day. We were told that the chairs will arrive in two weeks. Today is 09/11 and I was told that the chairs will arrive in the mid or end of Sept. They sound like that they do not know what will happen at the end of Sept. It looks like that other customers have the similar experience. I am very frustrated. Please don't buy anything if the product is not available on the purchase day. went in to look at bedroom sets. salesperson carol offered to help. took us on a tour of the vast sales floor. advised her exactly what we were looking for, king size, platform bedroom set... at first she seemed helpful, offering suggestions, showing different styles. we kept going back & forth across the showroom to see another one per her suggestion but she kept showing us the same ones??? they really didn't have that many different styles of platform beds. saw a few i liked but the quality didn't seem worth the $2000+ i would be spending. decided to look elsewhere. thanked her for her time and for answering my questions but she was very upset. we all walked back towards the front of the store, us to leave and her to stand with the other salespeople waiting one new customers. she proceeded to tell her coworkers in a very loud voice "i just wasted an hour showing them everything and they couldn't make a decision..." at that point i left before i walked over to her & made a worse scene. don't salespeople realize that is what there job is. showing customers their products and answering questions so they can make an informed decision. if i'm going to spend my $$ shouldn't i get what i want? i'm not there to make her happy! becks needs better salespeople. they did have some nice other furniture but i will not go back there. BECK'S Furniture gets a poor rating for their customer service. We just purchased a piece of furniture and had an issue with the construction. SEVERAL calls and days later it is still not resolved. When we speak with people in the department they are so short with us and not helpful at all. It is unfortunate for the sales team there because they are so nice and they will not get return business if the customer service fails. In this failing economy you would think that business' would do everything in their power to make a customer happy since they are spending money in their store. Well Beck's you really should listen to your customers. We want BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! That means a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, an assuring message that everything will be taken care of, prompt follow up calls and if needed speedy repair/replacement with no/minimal cost to the customer. I hope you hear this and take note. Pros: Sales team very nice Cons: Very poor customer service, poor follow up more

I had my eye on a leather couch from Becks for 4 months and thought I confirmed the price with 3 different sales people, we finally went in to buy it, and the salesman tells us the tag is wrong and the other sales people are wrong...of course the price is higher! When it's delivered we find out he forgot to order a piece and I had to go pick it up to avoid delivery charges! The quality was horrible the leather is rubbing off on the corners and customer service was no help. They never returned my calls after they sent the technician, I left 3 messages for the Manager, Laura, and still haven't talked to her. I talked to the Assistant Manager, Tina, who must be the most inexperienced customer service person I've ever spoken to. She was so rude, raising her voice and talking over me, I get better customer service at Wal-Mart! I'm escalating this to the Dir. of Operatons ,Dave Acke, and I want to make sure everyone I know does NOT waste their money at Beck's Furniture in Sacramento. I purchased six dining room chairs from BECKS in Rancho Cordova on 8-28-08. I wanted leather chairs and the salesperson represented to me that the chairs were leather. When I got home I looked closely at the receipt (which was hard to read) and discovered that the chairs were in fact vinyl. My husband returned them to Becks the following day unopened and still in their original boxes. He was told by Tina in Customer Service that there would be a 10% restocking fee. He called me and I spoke to Tina on the phone and explained to her that their salesperson had misrepresented to me that the chairs were leather and I didn't believe we should be charged a restocking fee. She couldn't have been more rude and just kept saying over and over that that was their policy. I will never step foot in a Becks store again and recommend that you don't either. Tina in Customer Service was rude and unprofessional and if she worked for me she would be fired. Pros: None Cons: Worst Customer Service more

I bought a recliner sofa 5 yrs. ago and it looks as good today as the day I brought it home. It has never given me a moment's trouble. I went back this year and bought a new microsuede cream-colored sofa for my living room, and couldn't be more pleased with it. People who see it can't believe I paid so little for it. It's comfortable, and looks like a designer piece. Customer service couldn't have been more helpful, and kept it in storage for me two months until I could get moved. I have nothing but praise for them. Of course, there are "cheap" things there, but there are treasures also. I will go back soon to get a dining room table. I bought some bedroom furniture for a master bedroom and 2 other rooms. Within 2 months, the master furniture started falling apart. The design of the box spring support was poorly made. After having Becks replace the parts, the supports collapsed again. I ended up making my own custom support for the bed. The Armoire also had issues with the rollers that hold the door closed. These broke in the first 3 months too. Becks replaced the rollers 3-4 times. Cheap design again... One of the beds for the kid's room broke after 1 1/2 years. Becks told me the furniture was made from Soft pine, not hard pine so the screw broke through the soft pine support. What kind of explanation is that? Since it was out of warranty, Becks would not fix the main support for the bed. Not learning from my previous experience and shopping for bunk beds, I again went to Becks. The Sales person sold me a under drawer that was not compatible with my set. I guess they work on commission... On delivery, they also forgot about the mattress for the beds... horrible. I guess I did learn after all. I just purchased living room furniture from Lazy Boy, not Becks! I hope your luck with Becks is better than mine... Pros: none Cons: Cheap furniture that looks expensive. Trust me, your furniture won't last long... more
