Beauty Brands

I've been going here the past few years and have always had decent to great stylists. This last time I was in was a fail. My stylist, Lee, was not friendly and acted as if I was a waste of time. He didn't try to make much conversation and he didn't ask me if I preferred my hair curly or straight when he was done like I've been asked every other time I've been in. He didn't even bother drying my hair all the way. Worst experience. more

I am an avid Beauty Brands shopper...but will REFUSE to go to this location from now on. Customer Service is awful. The Manager Melissa is rude and disrespectful. I had an appointment scheduled to get a cut and they lost my appointment. I took off work to get it done and they couldn't get me "in". Manager wouldn't fix the problem. Awful, awful place. STAY AWAY! more

I live right near this salon and always take my whole family there. As far as the hair stylist go.......They do have different levels of stylists. Meaning if you want a great hair cut you have to pay for it.($38 hair cut with what they call a "Master") I always get a good cut and color with a master.? more

This salon is to big. I miss the days of smaller salons. To much to choose from, makes my head hurt. more

I like beauty brands... but I got a horrible haircut. I was a walk in and had a guy named Ken. I knew exactly what i wanted and the whole time he tried to talk me out of it. I have had super long hair my whole life and was ready for a change. I wanted it a little shorter and to have bangs. I went in excited for a fun spur of the moment haircut... and immediately he ruined that by trying to tell me guys like long hair and that I am ruining it. I know he meant well but it got to the point where he was being rude. I am a young girl and told him I wanted to look a little more mature, and he basically told me I was dumb for wanting that... I'm pretty sure that's none of his business. You don't argue with a customer about whether or not they should cut their hair. So then he rushed me and cut it bad. Now I have the same hairstyle just a little shorter with an ugly chunk of bangs. I am going to a different beauty brands tomorrow and get it fixed. I'm going to have to pay more money since I refuse to go back to that annoying guy. If you go to this beauty brands ask for a different stylist. Never again will I let a stylist talk me out of what I want. This ruined my whole weekend! more

When I first moved back to the Kansas City area, I was worried I would not be able to find a great stylist like I had in DC but luckily the first place I tried was beauty Brands. I was hooked up with Nathan and he is the best stylist I've had. He gives such clean cuts and is wonderful with the highlights. The other staff at Beauty Brands are wonderful also. All of them are so nice, offering me a beverage and if I have a question about products, they are full of information. Just great!! more

I purchased a gift certificate for my mom. It was a 30 minute massage for $50. She LOVED it!! They treated her well and she has been back time after time. It's very relaxing and soothing. They make you very comfortable....almost too much as you tend fall asleep. They also have a great supply of beauty products and have awesome stylists that are up to date on the latest and greatest styles. Top rated salon! more

I love the spa services at Beauty Brands. Their massage therapists are wonderful! Everytime I've been there to get a massage, I've walked into a very relaxing room with soft music playing. The massage has always been fantastic (my favorite therapist is Joy). Their spa pedicures are wonderful too, if you want to pay the price. The treatment and extra pampering you get makes it nice for a treat every once in awhile! more

I love the stylist at Beauty Brands - They always know what to do to make you look your best! they have all the name brand shampoo's and conditioner's, and at great prices, they will do pedicures and manicures very very trustworthy, I have never been disappointed by any haircut or style, the price is a bit high - yet it is worth it, to walk out of there looking and feeling much prettier. I know a great gift would be the gift card you could give your best friend or sister for their birthday! after all they are -a Salon *Spa and Superstore... more
