I wanted to spend my birthday weekend in Des Moines because it is a good halfway point between my long distance boyfriend and I. We reserved a romantic room with a whirlpool tub and a king size bed. The room was very comfortable and everything was well cleaned. We had the continental breakfast in the hotel which had a make-your-own pancakes station, as well as a meat, buscuits and gravy, and eggs. There were also cereals and bagels to choose from. The hotel is also only 10 minutes away from the Zombie burger downtown and only a 20 minute drive to Jordan Creek. At night, the Baymont lights up the outside of the hotel with funky party lights. It also has a gorgeous double staircase in the lobby. more

We used this hotel because we were in town for a wedding. We also reserved a meeting room for our family to congregate. The bedrooms were large & clean. The beds were very comfortable. The management was very helpful. more

This was our first stop on our family road trip and the hotel was AWESOME! It's out a ways from the downtown area (which was really nice for us) yet still close to everything. The room was large, clean and very comfortable for our family of four (with two teenage boys). The pool was nice and sparkly clean, the game room kept the boys busy and the free breakfast was the best I've had in quite some time! Not only the typical waffle irons, but a pancake maker, sausage, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, various pastry items, cold cereal as well as a couple different types of juice & of course coffee :) \r Even though we were only there for one night, Sunday August 14th, if I ever find myself in Des Moines again, this will be my only go-to hotel! more

Our suite had plenty of room for our family of 5. Pool and hot tub were nice. Even enjoyed some time in the sauna! Pleasantly surprised by that --- and that there were working payphones! Breakfast was good. more

We arrived at night without a GPS. Quite difficult to find in the dark. It is clean (in the corners of elevator, etc.!) bathroom, shower, carpets everywhere clean. The staff was very helpful. Outstanding breakfast. Very comfortable more

This is an airport hotel. It is large, has lots of rooms. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. They were very concerned about getting my cab to arrive on time in the morning. We only stayed one night so did not use many of the amenities but they have a microwave and refrigerator in the room and have a pool and other types of facilities. We will definitely use this hotel again. more
