So I found this Dentist through a referral. I give the doctor a call and he answered the phone because it was after 5 pm. I told him that for a couple days I had been having pain and I knew that my wisdom teeth needed to get removed. He felt that it could be infected and encouraged me to come in as soon as possible. He did not tell me anything about how his the process works all I knew was I needed help. He magically found an opening the next day at 11:30 am right in the middle of my work day. His office is in Union Square and I work in South San Francisco. So I go to the office and then the secretary told me that I needed to pay up front $200 just for him to see me. I have insurance through my work so I found my provider and then she stated that I needed to pay $60. I had explained to her that the doctor did not make it clear to me before I came that I would have to pay that much just for him to tell me what I already know. My teeth need to get pulled. He was the one urging me to come in and now I understand why.\r
After the secretary who was extremely rude to me (I guess I would be too if I had that job) I then explained that I felt that they need to explain to a new client these things ahead of time. I felt mislead and did not want to continue because who knows what they would stick me with in the future. \r
Take my advice find someone who is human and cares that?s the first step! A professional would have seen me and made arrangements with my insurance, considering that I have great coverage!
