A- A PLACE TO AVOID IN THE EVENING (NIGHT CRAWLERS-FURRY FRIENDS RUNNINg AROUND) we attend this place for lunch.....it wasn't crowded.. abit unusual for a pleasant day we were having- i now understand why...food was not to our satisfaction at all....and the servers could care less unfortunately....i will add to the list of places to avoid unfortunately. the place is nice...but NEVER judge the book by its cover--- more

) - dinner with family; the place is a little spot in tribeca.....its warm giving th ecold spell we had. the music was a bit to loud but, it was alright. the menu needs to be spruced up a bit...old. the overall experience was ok....the staff needs to improve on the english language that could ruin a place...some server came couldnt understand..then a woman came to the table....and she spoke we dont know what....ghett-english? i think we will send her a dictionary..... rating is c+ more

had the unfortunate experience in patronizing this place....it was a mistake. the food could have not been worse then describe on other sites...it is accurate to say the food is not pleasant at all. and if that woman standing in the corner kept twitching i was going to shake her out of it....a bit of an unstable person.....inappropriate behavior for an owner, a woman for that matter.was a bit turned off of the activities that were going on in the restaurant....but we managed to capture a picture of the activity on here.......but, never to return to this place...not attractive. more

WE WENT WITH A FEW PEOPLE....HAD A THE DINNER THERE...IT WAS QUIET BY THE WAY- MAJOR SIGN....AFTER EATING ONE OF OOUR FRIENDS BECAME VERY ILL...COUPLE DAYS AFTER FRIEND OF OURS TOLD US TO CHECK OUT THE REVIEWS ON LINE AND NOW WE UNDERSTAND WHY SOME BECAME SICK..APPARENTLY, OTHERS HAVE TO--ITS ASHAME NICE AREA IN TRIBECA THIS PLACE DOE NOT BELONG HERE-ANYMORE.....REGARDLESS IF IT HAS BEEN THERE FOR 17-18 YEARS AS THE OWNER PROCLAIMS... WELL- IN REGARDS TO THE AUTHENTICITY I WOULD HAVE ARGUE THAT IT IS NOT! THE FOOD IS AS BASIC AS ONE GENERIC RESTAURANT CAN OFFER. BUT WILL SAY THE PLACE LOOKS NICE, BUT THE STAFF IS LAZY. THE PRICES ARE NOT AS EQUAL AS THE FOOD PRESENT TO US. more

dangerous-and terrible 2/9/2011

was there this past weekend...what a dump! what trash running around inside this place....what a cover up here........gambling going on during the superbowl....not attentive to the customers at all....had a little party with shady characters around...was very uncomfortable to even bring my family here.....if they paid attention to the preparation of the food and service maybe it woould be slighty better........never agian to enter here..maybe cops will raid this place too. more

we attended a small gathering with friends inside here.......and will say the food was just OK. the portions were not as big as stated from here nor was the appearance of the dishes that seemd to come from a professional chef. not a BIG deal, but the chef or cook or what ever you prefer to call themselves should place some pride in the dishes that they prepare.....otherwise, everything else was tolerable.....i would have preferred some reasonable service for us.....its not that they see an abundance of patrons inside here..from what we saw, it was a bit slow inside for a saturday evening. more

\r as we entered this place we knew it was not a good choice waited forever for menus, (not busy inside)....ordered and it took forever....dishes were nothing to crazy to wait more then 45 minutes for....simple dishes...but food was good....OK.\r just the service wasnt there......dont understsand being it was not busy inside...thursday evening.\r anyway, the bill was a bit high......$90 two people...anyway, for a few more dollars could have went for to the IVY.\r oh well next time. more

we came in here very skeptical. we ordered some of the appetizers, and we werent satisfied with the prepared dishes. we ordered soome a couple of entrees and the food just didnt have what they state they are. food was blah. the dishes prepared without care. the service was absent at times, but they did ask if everything was alright. seemed a bit nervous about what our response would be. the prices do not compliment the place..a bit high.\r will not re-visit. more

the menu is just old.......had some of the plates here nothing new....although the are good, not great---but good. place needs a remake or something. we used to order in from here, but were many times it took too long for food to arrive. so we only deal with this place if necessary not on the top of our list anymore. more

we all went here couples.....unfortunately not a place to bring for cordial and pleasantries...food not impressed but, everything was just OK......and the wine relaxed...oh the cork in my glass wasnt happy about that.... but the loud talking in the back by the phone....and language not to cool to do...make the music louder.......please next time...god! more
