Over the last 4 weeks I have taken my little Chihuahua to see Doctor Pots ,Montgomery and Doctor Trip twice after 4 weeks they kept saying he was acting normal his symptoms where ( not drinking, not eating, could not hardly walk or stand up head always hanging down could not lift his head and his tongue was always hanging out but to them this was normal ) well Saturday morning at 3:15 am he passed away 08/23/2014 so I went and got the rest of my pets records so they wouldn't be passed off as normal when they get sick.so I would not recommend this animal hospital to anyone unless you want your pet to die from being normal. the hardest part is Doctor Montgomery said he should live another 8 to9 years .My name is Charles Stiles my best friends name was Bam Bam he was only 10 years old when he passed away but according to the doctors he was acting and appeared to be normal. The doctor's just don't care about the animals anymore it's all about the money and the staff used to be the best now they are very rude and disrespectful to the customer and to the patient .Please do not use this vet think about your love one ( pet ) they deserve better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

The office from hell 6/9/2010

While the back of the house works well, the office is the front desk from hell. They are never organized and even though they have numerous people working, they are all chasing some mythical rabbit and are useless. Try Whatley-Kinny Vets off Hwy 53, Plainville Road----your pets will have peace and quiet and so will you. more

Great Vets! 5/10/2010

One of the few vets in Cartersville that will accept and treat my animals. They have been great with my dogs and have always worked us in in an emergency. I trust them completely with my boys. more

Great care and concern for our pets 4/25/2010

We have had had many happy (and sad) experiences here. We have been using Bartow Animal Hospital since 2001 and have gotten great care for our cats from these wonderful people! The only reason we have had any sad experiences is because we have lost some of our pets in the past, but the staff has always been very sympathetic! more

I've completely trust their vets 6/21/2007

I began by going to their sister office in Acworth before moving to Cartersville. I've never had anything but good service. They very knowledgeable about small breed dogs too. I will admit the wait when you have a appointment is bad but they make up for it in their cost.I've also have boarded my Chihuahua with them before and she did wonderful with them. They also groomed her for no extra cost. more

terrible service 6/12/2007

My husband had been using the Bartow Animal Hospital for years, and when we got married I started taking my cats there too. I've never been impressed with the front office staff, but the vets were ok. That was until last week when our newest cat was diagnosed with feline leukemia. The vet we met with basically rushed us into deciding to put her down. He was rude, pushy and acted like it was a burden for us to be there with her when it happened and to see her beforehand. I have never been treated so badly. A vet should be kind and compassionate when you're going through something like that. I will never take my other cats there again. more

Good local vets 11/1/2005

The vets at the Bartow Animal Hospital are really great. We took our three cats and dog here at the recommendation of a neighbor and were very happy with their services, the treatment of our pets and their prices as well. We never had to wait long to be seen and even appointments with four animals went pretty quickly and smoothly. You can trust that your pets will be getting good care here. more

Good for general animal care 8/22/2005

I have been to this animal hospital twice. The experience was satisfactory, but not impressive. The people were nice enough, and the cost was about right. I felt the building was a bit old and run down. The veterarian was nice and knowledgeable. I would go there again out of convenience, but I would not prefer it to be my regular vet. There was nothing really great or impressive about this animal hospital. PROS: Local, close CONS: kind of run down more
