I was in Kentucky on business and I asked the waitperson at a diner I was eating in where to get some BBQ, and she directed me to the BBQ Inn ( Bar-B-Que Inn i think ) in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The BBQ Inn is a small stand alone building amongst some strip malls, we got there late, around 8pm, (which is late for that part of the country for dinner) but the owners of the Bar-B-Que Inn were happy to have us.
We had pulled pork and ribs, both of which were the best I've had. Good meat to fat ratio, ( I find a lot of pork to be too lean ) Sauce is served on the side. We also had baked beans and good coleslaw.
An interesting note to those not from the Bowling Green area is they serve with their BBQ a corncake, also called a hoecake, which is like a cornbread pancake
As a treat we had the buttermilk pie, wow, good.
Very gracious owners here, they are not part of any of the area chain BBQ places, just two people working hard to make great BBQ. Please consider eating there if you are in the area.
Pros: good food, good service, fun atmosphere
Cons: i can't think of any.
