Don't even bother. Go elsewhere. Not only are the bouncers total creepers, but the inside is always too crowded and always with the wrong type of people. I've never come here without leaving with 20 some randos looking for a better joint. If you're having fun here, you're probably not fun. more

This is such a great find right in Center City with none of the hassle and just great drink specials and AMAZING DJS!! They have DJS all week so no matter when you go, you're guarenteed someone is spinning something hot. Love it. Pros: Great DJS more

I went to Bar Noir for the first time this weekend and had a blast! The drinks were cheap, the bartenders were awesome and the music was a change from the usual repetative DJs. I was told the DJ was a local legend, I don't know but he did sound good! Definitely a place I will be back to. more

I used to get so frustrated with the philly nightlight during the week until I found Bar Noir. I am a bar tender on the weekends so my nights to go out are Sunday and Monday. Luckily, Bar Noir has Sunday Night Band Sessions and Open Mic Night Mondays! So happy I found this place! They have cheap drinks, lively crowd and theres something going on every day of the week!! I have always loved their DJs but they have mixed it up and now have live bands on Sunday and Open Mic on Monday nights. No matter what they play, this place always has a great vibe and great specials. more

No longer the decadent den of delight it once was, Bar Noir has descended into mediocrity. Boring, uninspired and over-hyped would be a more accurate description of the mood and ambiance. With all the choices that Rittenhouse Square has to offer, one would be well-advised to take oneself elsewhere. Send this tired old spot out to pasture! more
