we ordered Tamarind Duck and Curry Basil Chicken. The tamarind duck was luke-warm (even though we live a block away) and the curry was extremely watery. The soups were alright. Overall - pretty disappointed - we order from there all the time and have never had such a poor performance :( more

Very good food, good quantity, inexpensive, nice ambience, good service 3/17/2007

I have been here twice and both times have been completely worth it. The ambience, food, service and prices are all worth the experience. Its nice to see how much effort some restaurants put into keep improving and sustaining high standards. Do go there and enjoy all the amazing Thai curries. Pros: Food, Service, Ambience, Prices Cons: may not look at impressive from the outside but wait till you get in! more

Average Thai food, but fun seating 10/27/2006

The food is like anyother Thai restaurant, except they have a lot of choices. Pros: Many choices and good Thai food Cons: nothing more

Great food 3/11/2006

Thai is my favorite type of food and this is my favorite Thai restaurant. I live in the neighborhood and order take out at least once a week. It's also a nice restaurant nestled among fast food and chains. I love the pad thai and if you are into veggies try the green city (watercress sauteed in garlic sauce). Pineapple fried rice is great but the menu is really too versatile to describe in full. The location makes it perfect for a different taste before a red sox game or the symphony. Pros: Value, Menu, Food more

Best Thai food in Boston, hands down 4/10/2005

Just don't even go anywhere else...this place is the BEST. Consistent service, food and atmosphere. It's delicious!!! more

Best Thai food in Boston 10/14/2003

We have dined here on several occasions and each time has been a wonderful experience. This family-owned and operated restaurant has it all - delicious food, a cozy, romantic atmosphere, and prices that just can't be beat. It's the perfect Friday night date spot. The waitstaff are all very pleasant and extremely helpful with suggestions to suit your taste. And if you're feeling daring and want to try the really spicy stuff, just ask! This restaurant is an excellent value for the money. Almost everything on the menu is under $10, but it all tastes like a million bucks. We will continue to eat here for hopefully years to come. If you enjoy Thai food, then you must try dining at Bangkok City. Pros: Food, Waitstaff, Price more
