I am more than a happy customer. I had a new VIzio whiped out by a power storm. I called their headquarters and found out that the only shop they would approve for repair was Bammel TV. I found a company that knows the meaning of customer service. They also had the expertise to repair and return in a very reasonable manner. Don't Go Here! My 5-year-old refrigerator had multiple problems and was not cooling at all, so I called the manufacturer and they referred me to Bammel TV. They quoted me $85.75 for the service call. When I asked what that covered, they said it was the trip charge and the 'diagnosis.' \r \r They sent a repair man out the same day which I was happy about. He did not arrive in any type of service van which was a red flag to me. Also, I had to sign an agreement which did not appear to have any hold harmless clause in it. He said it was so he could work on my appliance. \r \r He identified what appeared to be one small problem but I knew that was not the complete problem. So I never got a full 'diagnosis.' Then he said he would have to look up how much the part was and get back with me. I asked about the freezer portion because that was a huge source of why my fridge was not cooling. He said he's have to come back again. This was ridiculous! I've never encountered anything like this from any valid repairman.\r \r I thought I would hear back the next day. Nope. I had to call them and they said I would get a call the next day. Today is 6 days living out of an ice chest and I've made other arrangements. I regret that I did not look up these reviews before going to Bammel TV. My suggestion? Find a reputable company that knows what good service is, will get your appliance fixed right, and cares about customers. They surely don't! \r \r \r \r \r \r more

Beware that this business is scamming people with bogus repair estimates. There is a reason that they require huge upfront deposit just to look at your problem. It is a scam folks plain and simple. If they do not find enough repairs needed to take the dollar amount over the deposit they will give you an inflated estimate (make up stuff), well beyond what is necessary. And if you are unhappy with it they just keep the money for hardly any amount of time spent on your equipment / device. Unless you already know what is wrong with your equipment / device and have a good idea of what it will / should cost to repair (namely you are bringing it in for the specific repair and not the diagnostics or estimate) ...stay away from this business! They are dishonest. They feed off people that do not know 'what's under the hood'. You may get lucky and have enough repairs needed that they can legitimately charge you a dollar amount they'd like to get. Otherwise you would be foolish to do business with these guys. Be smart and find another legitimate electronics repair store. more

Run Away!! I agree with an earlier post about this place. Never ever again. After foolishly giving them $100 to diagnose a problem with an acoustic amp you have to call them and wait for a return call from the owner who for absolutely no reason has the paperwork at his house (??). He calls you and rambles incoherently about what he thinks is wrong with it giving an irreconcilable additional $$ number to fix it. You tell him that it's way too much money to put in an old amp to which he responds some lame rationale that over the course of the years that I've had it that it is a small maintenance on a per month basis; but he would call you back after talking to his tech to see if they can reduce their commission (what? - keep in mind this is supposed to be the owner). He calls back and tells me they can reduce the total figure by nearly $100 but in the same conversation works the total back up to a number only $40 less (trust me it made no sense). I get tired of all the double talk and tell them I would be picking the amp up. Four hours later I go to pick it up and they don't have it ready to release back to me and you stand there feeling like a goon trying in vain to get a straight answer from the employees. They refer this to someone that is out and tells you there is no paperwork and you are approached by this sad little lady there that rudely tells you that I have to listen to her - - and after listening to her I realized she's told me NOTHING except that the owner is out. 10 minutes later some guy comes out with the amp on the dolly. Argh! I am sooooo ticked that I handed $100 to this rip off business and still have no idea what is wrong with it. I have since heard from two other friends with similar experiences. I wished I'd have done more research before going to this place. My amp is now with another electronics repair shop that was recommended by one of those friends. They only needed $40 to diagnose the problem. Live and learn. more

I would and will, refer your business to friends, family, or anyone needing electronics repairs. BEWARE - BAD SERVICE - RIP OFF 3/13/2012

As others have said, STAY AWAY! This tech shop charges $139. upfront before working on it, just to ""look"" at, or ""test"" units. No guarantees of anything. We took in a Denon surround sound receiver to be tested. We will report to Denon of this poor service as they sent us to Bammel. There were NEVER any callbacks to us. After 3 weeks of ""no response"", when we called them - they kept saying there was nothing wrong with the unit, but never called us to pick it up. Taking money upfront BEFORE testing is ridiculous!! - and very abnormal. Never again. We paid a lot of money for a routine test. We should have read the user reviews before going there. The good reviews on this site must have been written by Bammel. Don't trust this place. Don't waste your time and $$$. BAD BAD BAD - Shame on them! more

Excellent Service!!! 3/10/2012

The service at Bammel TV is awesome! While visiting relatives in Houston my laptop broke down and I was able to get it fixed right away. The customer service was just super and the people working there were very friendly! Since then I have sent several very old family heirloom photos to them and they were able to restore them to perfection in a very short period of time. I would definitely recommend Bammel TV!!! more

My television was fixed the first time. Prior to fixing it, I received a telephone call with the total repair cost. \r \r I have not had a problem with my television since it was repaired by Bammel TX & Appliance.\r \r If the information above wasn't enough, what has made me a Bammel customer for life is how they go out of their way to help their customers. I needed a repair order and receipt from a television I had fixed in 2009. Bammel TV & Appliance could have told me they didn't have them (like most companies would do) but they went out of their way to find the documents I needed.\r \r If you are looking for excellent work and customer service, go to Bammel TV & Appliance. more

Great Service 12/7/2011

After having several of our Mackie powered PA speakers repaired, I can say we are happy with their work and overall customer service. On each repair, they called after diagnostic to let me know the total cost prior to completing the work. They also called when it was complete and ready for pick-up. Some of our work was under our factory warranty from Mackie. Turn around was acceptable, ususally about 10 - 14 days. ITs not cheap, but I guess that's the nature of electronics repair. more

WORST MISTAKE EVER!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!! 11/28/2011

I have taken 2 pieces of equipment to this ""shop"". I use the term SHOP loosely. The first item, a Sony television, took at least 4 months to get back with a number of excuses. The second thing I took to them was an Onkyo tuner under the recommendation of Onkyo. I was a little reluctant after the first experience, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they were the only ""Authorized Service Center"" in Houston. I waited OVER 5 MONTHS for this one. Excuse after excuse, promises to call me back, these people couldn't find their own a$$holes. Now the Onkyo piece is not working again. I would rather spend the time and money to send the damn thing back to Japan before I would EVER take anything to them again. Save yourself the trouble, read the rest of the reviews. The guy who is satisfied with them must work there or know the owner, because I don't believe anyone has ever had a good experience with this place. If so, maybe it is true that these guys can fix a 50 year old stereo, but they can't fix a 5 year old one in under 90 days! Too bad you can't rate these jokers with a ZERO. more

Worst Experience Ever! Terrible Service! 9/27/2011

I was directed by Line 6 to take something I could have fixed myself to Bammel TV. Since Line 6 wont sell me parts I felt I had no choice and thought it wouldn't cost much to be fixed. They charged me $65 up front! Then, told me they couldn't fix it. (Floorboard controller for Pod) If they can't fix that I can't imagine they can fix anything at all! So, they sent me on my merry way AND kept the $65 as a check out fee! What! And if that wasn't enough, I made the mistake of taking a Plasma TV to them, They wanted $365 up front! to go towards the repair. Then told me the same thing. ""Oh, it's going to cost $1400 to have this thing fixed."" I get it out to the car and most all the screws are missing from the back! They didn't even care to put the thing back together. What a joke this place is. If you take anything to them, you better bring some Vasiline! I would give the 5 negative stars if I could. If your manufacture tells you to take your item to Bammel TV! I suggest you sell it online broken. Oh, and the big fat guy who works the counter is a Jerk! (I have other words in mind but I'm going to keep it to myself! more

Very Pleased 9/26/2011

I had a lamp on my Panasonic big screen go out. It was still under warranty.\r \r I went to Bammel Tv with my big screen, they ordered the replacement lamp and it came in several days later. They promptly replaced the lamp and then called me to come pick it up.\r \r They were very friendly,helpful and did a good job for me so I wanted to thank them with this review. more

They've always done a good job for me 11/10/2010

I've used Bammel TV for over 20 years for all sorts of stuff, from tv's to microwaves to my guitar amps, audio receivers, etc. They fixed my neighbor's 50-year old console stereo. Sometimes parts were delayed or complications arose but overall they've always done a good job. I was never charged anything I didn't agree to. more

Stay Away From These Guys 5/5/2009

Their customer service is terrbile, response time is terrible, stay away. I went to these guys for a warranty repair once already and 7 months later they lost my paperwork and said that they could never figure out what was wrong with it. If it takes a person who repairs TV's for a living 7 months to tell me he cant figure it out the again.....STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! Cons: Everything more
