This place makes AMAZING cakes that look and taste great - example - I had my daughter's first birthday cake done here. They did an amazing job at a 2-tier cake. Looked like one of those fondont cakes without the horrible "fondont" taste - they use butter cream instead of fondont but they make it look just as good. The cake tasted just as good as it looked. HOWEVER, management and employees of this place need a MAJOR attitude adjustment! Very obnoxious - they know they're good and they make you feel like they don't need your business because they have plenty of other customers, so they can be rude to you. Staff needs to bring it down a notch! Otherwise place will lose a lot more customers like myself! more

Robert designed the absolute most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen anywhere and I shopped all over for ideas before meeting with him. Not only was it gorgeous but the red velvet wedding cake tasted DIVINE. Thanks Robert. It was quite the perfect dessert for a perfect wedding. Baked to Perfection is the place to go without a doubt. I cant wait to go back for some goodies. more

hello? Does anyone make Italian bread anymore? A great bakery should have good Italian bread, rolls, pastries- not all cakes! .. I have yet to find a loaf of Italian bread with some taste in this town. Crullers, glazed donuts, crumb cake..good rye bread...that's what makes a great bakery. more

I've had both experiences at this place, after MANY purchases, special orders, etc. The cakes have always been very delicious, with the caveat that the icing is too thick--yes, it's good quality buttercream, but does it really need to be over one inch thick all over? Too much is too much. I once purchased an apple pie that was truly inedible--the apples had an "off" taste that even my desert-crazed kid could not swallow. they graciously took it back and offered a complimentary item. At other times, the slightest request has been met with indifference, close to rudeness, and an absolute inflexibility. A birthday cake for a boy was covered in pink roses when I came to pick it up--the person serving from behind the counter honestly told me it should be changed--but the person doing the work glared at me unpleasantly. Another time I asked for the most minor change to the decoration on a cake and was told I'd have to pay for what amounted to about 30 seconds of work. The challah bread is very good. Too bad they don't have more fruit pies or tarts; everything is smothered in buttercream. Yes, there's good stuff here, but also room for improvement, especially in the attitude of management. The customer should not feel like the merchant is doing them a huge favor if a small request is made. more

Horrible...Horrible service 12/24/2009

Management needs a BIG lesson in customer service! I'm appalled with the way I was spoken too....I placed a phone order to find when i got home it was all wrong! The manager/owner was so rude not even offering an apology for their mistake! She insisted on an argument. I'm a customer that visits at least once a week dropping anywhere between $40-$50 bucks a visit! Well guess again they lost a loyal customer and better yet don't they know word of mouth is the best form of advertisement let alone the internet...hmmmmm big mistake lady! more

After they close, they wrap their left over muffins, break fast pastries, pound cakes and re-sell it the nxt day. They keep their cakes in the cake case for days and tell the customers that they were "freshly baked." When the fruits on the cakes start to get bad, they take it to the back and jus simply change the fruits and put them back in the cake cases. The back kitchen is one of the dirtiest places ive ever seen and the guys that bake the stuff do not even wear gloves and use their whole arm (very hairy) to mix a lot of the stuff. They try to over charge customers every chance they get, like when a customer is ordering a special cake. They give out cookies that fell on the floor for samples. They make cookie baskets out of old cookies and the baskets sit on the shelf for months and months, until they are finally sold. more

Baked to Perfection lives up to it's name. The owner works tirelessly to provide the finest and freshest pastries, cakes, cookies and breads. My only choice for a bakery. more

Order not prepared properly 11/21/2008

I ordered custom "store size" black/white cookies (24). This was put on the order. I was charged $3.00/cookie. Paid in full up front (my mistake). Went to get my order today and see they made "small" cookies. (1/2 the size of what I ordered) Did not want to give me a refund. Finally got 10% back. Not cool. Will not go back. more

Very overrated 10/2/2008

I have gotten better desserts from a supermarket. If you are in Port Washington, stick to St. Honore. Baked to Perfection does not even come close. more

The best bakery...in a town with TWO great bakeries 2/16/2006

There's a big argument in town..which bakery is best: St. Honore or Baked to Perfection. Despite the owner's crankiness, Baked to Perfection is the better of the two. The selections are to die for. Their chocolate--in all its forms--is amazing. more
