Very good 3/3/2012

Great experience with a dish that is not normally on Thai menu's, and I have been to about 90% of the Thai places in the city (including Pok Pok, the best one in the country in Portland). more

TERRIFIC THAI AS IT SHOULD BE 1/9/2009

For those who don't know, this restaurant started as the house restaurant for the Thai Airways crews, then moved to Pac Hwy So in a converted drive in. They are now at Southcenter with lots of parking for the true believers of authentic Thai cuisine. While there may be more regions of Thailand that are reflected in other restaurants, those in the know trust this restaurant. Their Gai Hor Bai Tuey is to die for and their curries are fabulous. Very accessible cuisine and carefully attentive to their customers. Pros: Authentic Thai cuisine more

One of the best Thai restaurants in Seattle 9/1/2008

It's one of the best Thai restaurants in Seattle area that I have ever gone to. Food was excellent. I went there with a group of 8 people so I got a chance to try out many different dishes. Dishes that I really liked was chicken wrapped with leaves, pad thai with thin white noodle (mun sen) and fried fish. Too bad that I don't remember their exact names. Ohh, don't forget to order deep fried banana with ice creams for desserts. \r Food came pretty fast even though the restaurant was quite packed (dinner time on Labor's Day). The restaurant has a lot of staff and I must say that their service is really, really good. Price was reasonable. \r Overall, I loved it and will definitely go there again. more

My favorite thai food in Seattle 7/5/2008

I don't usually write reviews but felt like I needed to for this place because of the previous reviewer who described their food as average and then marked all the positive reviews as ""not helpful."" I love their food, the prices are pretty inexpensive, and although I wouldn't describe the service as overly friendly, I've always been able to get whatever I need from the servers, normally without asking. more

Average Thai 9/13/2007

I have to laugh at the 5 star reviews for this place - read them carefully and it sounds like the owners wrote the reviews themselves. In the end, this is an average thai joint. Sticky overly sweet pad thai and slow service. Pros: Parking Cons: Average food, prices more

Bai Tong Thai Rocks 3/2/2007

I lived in Thailand for 4 years and I find eating Thai food in America sometimes disappointing. But at Bai Tong it is especially delightful. Bai Tong provides an authentic array of Thai dishes and a great Thai atmopshere as well as delicous food that won't be found at other restaraunts. Clearly they stay true to the Thai way. I recommend the Pumpkin Custard, which I have never seen on a menu here, it's a great dessert and can be found on many street corners in Thailand. It is a light egg custard that has been cooked in a pumpkin and has chuncks of pumkin mixed in it. It's really unique and not too sweet, which I like. I also think the Pad Key Mao noodle dish is great, you can get it as spicy as you like and the basil really makes this dish fabulous. The service is friendly and super prompt too. Bai Tong Rocks! Pros: Thumps Up more

Best in town!! 5/7/2006

I've been to Thailand a few times and I'm so in love with Thai food. Unfortunately, most of Thai restaurants here don't keep the authentic thai cooking style. I'm so lucky that I've found Bai Tong. They remind me of all the good foods I used to have in Thailand. You have to try Hor Mok Salmon and Gai Hor Bai Toey. Those are the best! I heard they just opened the second location in Southcenter. I wish they had one in Tacoma. Pros: Authentic, Good parking, Prompt service more

Best Thai food in Seattle! 5/20/2005

Having been living in Bangkok for 13 years, I found the food in this restaurant most authentic in Seattle area. I went to many other Thai restaurants here, and the food tastes so bad. It has been Amaeicanized, and doesn't taste like real Thai food anymore. However, this place is different. If you're looking to a real Thai food, go to Bai Tong. Pros: food more

For Tai Food Lovers 5/10/2003

As a lover of Tai food I have tried many restaurants all over Washington State. Bai Tong is by far the best Tai restaurant Ive found. The food is simply amazing. Vegetables are flavorful; meats are succulent and the tofu silken and firm. But the curries and sauces are the true stars of this dining experience. The devotion to authentic Tai cooking and attention to quality ingredients are brought together in a relaxing casual atmosphere that is suitable for either family dining or a casual date. Diners will also be pleased with very reasonable prices. For those that live in Seattle, the only drawback is its location, just north of the SeaTac airport. For true Tai lovers its well worth the trek. Pros: Fantastic Food, Inexpensive, Pleasant atmosphere Cons: Location more

It's OK, but definitely not the best 10/15/2002

I work close to Bai Tong and have eaten there a few times. I love thai food and definitely think there are better thai restaurants in the area - Naiyana and Emerald are two within the SeaTac area. The food at Bai Tong is ok, and the service was terrible each time. more
