My husband wanted to get me a watch for our anniversary. We found the one I wanted and purchased it at Bailey, Banks and Biddle in Perimeter Mall. Our sales rep, Nathan was ok, not especially personable. We got out to the car and my husband looked in the box and realized the watch warranty card had been filled out by another owner. We immediately went back inside and asked if it was a new watch and we were assured by the manager, Ann that is was. She gave us a blank warranty card and we left. The next day the watch stopped working. We brought it in and they said it was the battery which they replaced. Two days later it stopped working again. We took it back in and demanded to get a new watch since we still thought this one was used and that's why we were having all the problems with it. We were assured by an employee that we could get a new one from another store. They finally called my husband to say the watch "had been repaired" which was strange since we were told we were getting a brand new one. I called the location and spoke with Ann and was told "there are no more of these watches anywhere so I don’t know who told you you were getting another one". I told her I would have to discuss this with my husband because that is not what we were told was going to happen. She began raising her voice and in a demeaning way said there were no other watches like this and this one was ready for pick up. She could not even explain to me what was wrong with the watch or what the jeweler had fixed on it. We went to the jeweler to get our money back instead of picking up the watch. Not one person there ever apologized for our inconvenience including the manager, Ann. You’re better off at Brown & Co. or Target for that matter.
Cons: Customer treatment, manager, selling used merchandise as new
