Great place for dinner with your friends. 2/4/2009

This is a franchise restaurant, so don't expect some quiet or trendy urban restaurant. Its decor is like any other franchise restaurant, over the top, gaudy, but fitting for the type of restaurant this is. This is not the place to go if you are wanting a quiet dinner, its loud, and does a fair amount of its business in liquor. That being said, they have some rather tasty menu choices. As an appetizer I would recommend the dip made with the goat cheese. Its served with toasted bread and served in roasted red bell peppers. The Chicken Santiago is an excellent dish on the more affordable side of the menu, and is served with an excellent sauce and comes with fried yucca which is very good. For desert the cheesecake is excellent. If you are looking for an intimate dinner look elsewhere, but for a fun night out with friends this is an excellent destination. Its generally very crowded, so expect a wait. Pros: Good food, good drinks, fun atmosphere Cons: Loud, Long Wait Times, Not good for intimacy more

A great little seafood place with a carribean atmosphere. 11/25/2007

This is a great restaurant if you want some excellent pan seared tilapia or some wood grilled salmon. They also have some really good drinks from the bar too. The pricing is reasonable and the atmosphere is very friendly. During the summer, it would be a really good idea to request an outdoor seat. more

Super! 11/18/2007

My husband and I were in Memphis for one night only and wanted to try a new restaurant! WOW!! Did we ever make a great choice!! The wait was not long for a Sat night, we ordered drinks at the outside bar, (Great bartenders!) Then made our way over to the firepit to wait for our table. Pleasant wait followed by SUPERB food. Very OLD REVIEWS HERE !!! 9/24/2006

This joint is another nasty chain owned by the Oliver Garden folks...nothing fresh here, nasty fish, needlessly complex (sounding) dishes that are awful in preparation and in taste. Pros: good bar (sometimes) Cons: owned by Olive Garden (yuk) more

Relaxed atmosphere and great island food! 8/20/2006

This is one of my favorite restaurants for outdoor dining when the weather is nice. The food is excellent (try the coconut shrimp, lemonade, asparagus/chicken pasta, bananas foster) and the service is always good. The atmosphere is laid back and family friendly but still nice enough for dates and special occasions.\r \r There is a bar that is always crowded and sometimes there is also live music on the deck. The price tag is more than average, but the quality of the food and portion size make up for the little more you might pay. PROS: Great atmosphere, food and service CONS: Can be a bit crowded and long wait- come at off times to avoid the rush more

yummy 6/10/2004

One of my FAVORITE places to eat... you HAVE to try the coconut shrimp- it is to die for... also the pork medallions are a big favorite, very tender and delicious. Ask them to bring back the creme brulee!!! We miss it! Pros: GREAT FOOD, Fun atmosphere, did I say great food? Cons: , long waits more

bahama breeze best resturant in memphis 4/30/2003

the whole theme and layout of bahama breeze is unbelivable, the food quality is outstanding, the drinks are flashy and very delisious, if you are in memphis it the best bet for dining! the reasturant is located right off the highway. the only con is that they are allways crowded and the wait is usually long, but they give you a pager, and wolfchase galleria is right behind them! two thumbs up! Pros: live caribean music, spacious deck, worth wait! Cons: crowded, long wait more

The best food and atmosphere! 10/24/2002

There is nothing like this locally where I live. The atmosphere is very social. Whether it's sitting on the patio for appetizers or watching the bartenders, everything is facsinating! The food is authentic Caribbean fare. Great spices and great drinks. Only place to go if in the area. But don't come extremely hungry...wait time is about 2 hours. Pros: atmosphere, fun, great food Cons: long wait more

refreshingly differant 9/27/2002

Stopped there when traveling home to St. Louis from Mississippi. It was a very nice experience. Brook was a very good waitress. The food was great. Made me think I was back in Jamaica. I'm glad there's going to be one here in St. Louis. more

Vacation hotspot 8/13/2002

If you're itching to get away from it all and relax in the islands but the budget's too tight, Bahama Breeze is the place to be! Don't let the wait dampen your spirits...Winter or summer, the nightlife in their outside area is comfortable and fantastic. The entire atmosphere along with the exotic drinks and appetizers makes this outside location so enjoyable that you might not want to go in when your table is ready. My wife and I often make a meal out of their tasty appetizers. Everything about this restuarant is rated excellent - We're proud that Memphis was one of the few major cities chosen to host this eatery! Pros: Creative, Exciting, Relaxing more
