I have been going here since they first opened. My mother & I would go on Saturday's when it was packed & they always make you feel welcome & like family. They are the nicest people. But, more important.....the food is fresh & great! From the simple breakfast fare to the home made soups & specials!! What I love most about this place is how clean it is!!! You will never find a water mark on your silverware or water glass!!! They are constantly cleaning.....tables....floor...etc... Even the bathrooms are extremely clean!!\r We have continued going back again & again...great neighborhood place! You see the same familiar faces over & over....a sign of a good food joint!! They will make whatever you ....how ever you want!! Just ask!!\r We LOVE it!! And now open for Dinner!!! yeah!!! more

This is my second time eating here and I should have trusted my instincts about returning. I just couldn't remember how the food was on my first visit...well I can confirm now that the breakfast is below average. Although the service is very good, I find the menu very limited for breakfast options and very bland in taste. The exception is the French toast...its very tasty and they use a really good Challah bread to make it. I don't think I will come here for breakfast again...it wasn't the worst I've ever had, but for the prices....its far from the best. Go for the French Toast! Happy Eats!!! more

I've been eating here for over a year now, nearly every Sunday. They are easily the best bagel place around, especially since Bagel Bar West is busy in the process of going down in flames. The owners and staff are great and always treat us like family. Everything i've tried on the menu has been great from the French Toast, to the bagels, to the muffins. Two thumbs up from me, heck I stopped on way to work today just to have a bagel to go.\r \r \r ATTN: Whiners that are belly aching that they can't take up an entire table for one person, are you really that dense? It's a tiny place and one table is valuable in a place like this, especially when you come in on a Sat or Sun when it's busy and expect to lounge around and read the paper costing them more than you bring in with your 47 free refills of coffee. Heck last weekend I watched some people yell and scream because they couldn't be seated until their whole party was there, DUH! Of course you can't when there are full parties waiting and you're either, 'A' Sit and kill time waiting on the rest of your party or 'B' eat and then wait while they eat taking up double the time and possibly cost them customers. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. more

I just left the soon to be out of business called Bagels 4 U. I had breakfast there with my wife around 9am today, February 3, 2011. My wife had the whitefish salad and I had the Challah French toast with bacon. For starters the cucumbers on the whitefish salad were not freshly cut. They were clearly old and from the day before because they had the translucent almost slimy texture to them; we did not complain. When I received my French toast it did not come with bacon like I ORDERED IT and how it was offered on the menu (for an additional charge of $1.50). No big deal I wait for my bacon while I eat my breakfast. The waitress brought the bacon out shortly after, no harm, no foul right? After we finish eating and I go to pay I notice that I am charged $2.95 not the $1.50 for the bacon. I ask the fairly old woman behind the counter who I presume is either the owner or his wife, about the charge. She states that I ordered a side of bacon and that it is $2.95. I tried explaining to her that I ordered the bacon with my french toast and she had to go get it after. She starts to quibble with me about the size of the side order (mind you I dont make the order sizes and really have no idea what they are or are not supposed to be). I told her to forget it and just run my card. The man behind the counter in his best "Gumba Italian" voice says "forget it charge him the dollar fifty and he can find somewhere else to eat". Now since I AM Italian, and I have been a chef for 25 years - I would have normally instantly started a confrontation with the punk behind the counter. But being of an age where I have two young children and a busy schedule I decided just to leave and proceed to post at every single restaurant site that this business is affiliated with. Between that and my long time relationships with all the food vendors, brokers and distributors in the South Florida area, I will do my best to damage the "Gumby's" reputation. So, in conclusion: between the servers lack of attention, the owner's wife quibbling with a guest about the size of an order of bacon, and the now referred to as "Gumby" behind the counter, this restaurant will not survive, especially in Cooper City where the patrons are used to being catered to. I would avoid it at all costs unless you like spending $9 for an egg breakfast that comes with a side of "Gumby". Oh well, too bad for them. CYA around "Gumby"! more

Began eating at Bagels 4 U when they had just opened. \r At first they were not a well oiled machine, but the food was great and I kept going back They have their act together now, and the food is still great! Go, you will love it; especially their homemade soups and fabulous black and white cookies, which my family craves. Enjoy! more

The food, service and customer service was very good. I was surprised to get the great deli experience from a deli in Florida. Next time I'm in south Florida I won't think twice about making an appearance at bagels 4 u more

I've eaten there several times and the food was good, and the service was great. The bagels are good and I love the chive cream cheese. However, I've picked up bagels to go several times, and they NEVER get my order right. I've been there at least 10 times over the past two years for take-out, and they always manage to screw something up. If you're getting take-out, make sure you open everything up and check it before you leave. personally, I hate having to do all that, and I think it's safe to say that I'll never go back there for take-out again. The high school girl making minimum wage at Dunkin Donuts always gets my order right the first time, and it's cheaper. So, if you want to go sit down and have breakfast, I'd recommend it. If you're getting something to go... beware! more

I ate here the first week they opened. The place was a little disorganized. I'm now a regular. Service is super friendly food is great. Fills the need for deli food in the area as there are not many. They are supposed to start opening for dinner soon I hope so! more

There I was on a late Saturday morning (around 11:15). Finished my errands and was looking for a little breakfast, so I went into the local bagel shop for breakfast and my Sun Sentinel. \r \r Place was not crowded and there were plenty of tables available. Since I wanted to spread my sports page out while I was eating, I went to a four seater and was greeted roughly by an older gentleman who must have been the host. He said 'You can not sit there if you are by yourself' and directed me to a two seater. No 'Sorry', 'Please sit here, I'll get someone to help you' or anything else. \r \r So I proceeded to sit down and wait . . . and wait . . . and wait . . . \r \r After five minutes of no service, I got up and left. \r \r The Boss said 'Before you rip them apart, give them a chance. Call the manager.' So I did. They took a message and said that she would call back. \r \r And I waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. And never received a call. \r \r Great customer service (not!).\r \r Update - I tried Bagels 4 U Again after walking out last time. Well, shame on me. After sitting down, it took like six minutes before staff came to ask if I would like something to drink. Coffee came (no cream), cream came (no setup). Breakfast finally came (got it wrong). Lady at register clearly was overwhelmed by a line of three people trying to pay their tab and it took over five minutes for her to clear a line of three.\r \r Sorry, I like to support local businesses but I will not be going there a third time! more
