I used to go to Azteca all the time with my family when I was growing up and it was always wonderful. Now when I go, the food is still good but the service is less than mediocre. The last time I went, my husband and I got there before the rest of our party, so we got started on drinks in the bar. We ordered food and our waiter was very attentive. After our friends got there, he would check on us, but would ignore our friends sitting right next to us. They couldn't even get a menu - and it wasn't busy at all. We waited for him to check on our friends for 30 minutes before we spoke to a manager. I wish I could say this was a one time thing, but before this visit, we had problems with waiters being borderline rude. I wish I knew what happened to them caring about the way their wait staff treats their guests. We can find Mexican food that is comparable or better. We won't be back.
