I've lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and I only recently started to go to Aztec Willy's. Honestly I can't think of why I didn't go sooner, it might have been the goofy name or because my husband says we should only go to the ""authentic"" places on Alberta. But there is no reason stay away! The food is great, a combination of traditional northern Mexican items and Tex-Mex, the prices are very reasonable, and the space itself is really really cool! Good decor, plus a kids room where you can let the little ones play with toys while you finish your tamale plate. The service is cafeteria-style, so I never have to worry about long waits for food, and I can look at what I want before ordering it and ask questions. There are so many different things to choose from too, and you can customize your order with different meats, sauces, beans, etc. I love the casual atmosphere. Haven't tried the margaritas yet, but the bar staff looks capable enough. I am going to become a regular.
Pros: good food, good value, great space
Cons: no parking lot
