Informative & Efficient 4/10/2010

I've been at this clinic a few times with my uncooperative cat. Friendly staff, competent vet. Pros: Friendly neighborhood vet more

Excellent Vet 12/5/2009

I take both my cats and dogs to Dr. Ponce. They all love her and so do I. I have NEVER had any problems with the Dr. or the staff. Everyone there is wonderful! Pros: Everything more

Cat owner and still didn't like Avenues Pet Clinic!! 11/5/2009

keithweezer is presumptuous in his statements about cat owners. I took my cat in because she had diarrhea, because even I who am not a vet knew something must be wrong. I was told that, ""even though she has diarrhea, she seems to be okay"". What a bunch of nonsense!!! AND I had an appointment!!! Took my dear cat, whom I care about deeply, to another vet. Pros: Close to where I live. Cons: Cold staff...unknowledgeable vet... more

World-Class Veterinarian 10/1/2009

Best veterinarian clinic in the world! I've been a client for 5 years. Excellent service. No wait time, ever. And you can stay with your pet in the clinic room during examinations. Dr. Ponce will communicate any procedures needed and provides alternatives if applicable. She will also personally follow up to make sure everything is copesetic with you and your pet. I highly recommend this clinic. Pros: Knowledgeable, Skilled, Professional, Kind, Fast, Affordable Cons: None. The clinic looks shabby, but is always very clean. more

Cat Owners aren't reliable sources anyway!! 2/10/2009

Seriously....the majority of the complants from the cat owners are due to a lack of accountability for their own pet. You should know what your pet needs and when it needs it. Did it ever occur to you guys that the clinic may be busy when you enter and the world does not revolve around your idea of customer service? Pros: Friendly service and attention to detail more

Don't really seem to care about your pet 8/7/2007

After reading the good reviews I decided to take my cat in due to the fact that she's recently become sick. Unfortunately, I hardly saw the vet and nobody seemed to have any concern about my cat. I felt like they just took my money and rushed me out of there as soon as possible. Now, three visits later, 300 dollars spent, and my cat is still sick. They've come up with no real reason as to what's wrong, and instead just keep getting me to buy food and medication that isn't working. Pros: Good location. Cons: Expensive, uncaring, and unprofessional. more

My cat hates them, but I love them 3/21/2007

Dr. Ponce is excellent! My cat can be considered a rather unsocial animal with all the hissing, growling and swiping with claws she does, but Dr. Ponce is always patient and kind to my evil little kitty. Plus, she is good at reassuring me that some cats just hate everyone but their owner and that really I am a good kitty mom. Plus her staff is always nice and helpful at answering all of my off-the-wall questions. (Is it normal for a cat to play fetch?) Pros: Dr. Ponce is very good at answering all my questions Cons: My cat hates them, but she hates everyone. more

Wonderful service 7/14/2006

I have never met a veterinarian with a kinder heart. Dr. Ponce treated us and our very ill pet with the greatest of concern and respect. Her clinical staff is wonderful. I would take any animal back to her clinic in a heartbeat. Pros: Compassion, skill, service more

Never met the vet!!! 4/12/2006

We have taken our dog the Avenues Pet Clinic 6 times over the past year or so. During that time we never once met the vet. She never called us. When we would call to check on the results of a procedure, she would delegate a technician to talk with us. When we go in to pick up our dog, we end up talking with a technician rather than the vet. Another problem we've had is that our dog is always very thirsty when we pick him up. When he gets home, he drinks an entire day's worth of water. We suspect that they don't give him water while he is there. For a vet you can trust - or at least that will talk to you - I recommend going somewhere else! more

This place is really great. 5/16/2005

I went to take my little kitten, Syko, in for his shots. And they were very nice and very intelligent about his treatments. A very well kept place and a extremely nice, educated staff. And it has a conveiniant location! Right downtown. So i highly recommend to take your slithers, crawlers, pawers, and meowers there. :] more

Best Vet in town! 10/15/2002

Dr.Ponce is an excellent vet. The Avenues pet clinic is small and personable, and I can tell that everyone there truly cares about my dog. They have gone out of there way on numerous occasions when my schedule has been chaotic and always with a smile. The staff is wonderful (Sherry is great!); I can't imagine taking my pup anywhere else. By far, the best clinic around. more
