it was my moms birthday Saturday, Ava served us lunch,gave my mom birthday flowers, and treated us so nice. AJ gives the best massages, I can't wait to return. My pedicure was professional and relaxing. This is my third visit over the years and I will return. The prices aren't bad either. more

Ava's is definately THE place. Ava greeted me at the door, was extremely helpful, and the services her salon provides are simply the BEST. When it comes to hair, nails and accessories, Ava's cannot be beat. Her stylists are professionals who actually listen to what the customers wants. She has a very wide variety of nail colors and designs. I found her salon to also include some of the coolest items for sale ranging from clothes to beauty products, sun glasses, purses, and much more. I would definately come back to Avas in the future to treat myself. I will recommend this salon to everyone! more

I showed up at Ava's at 3:00pm and knew that it would take awhile to do my hair. I have long, thick, curly hair and I wanted custom colors - two colors! I was greeted by Ava and she consulted with me about what I wanted then she made sure I would be appropriately taken care of by an experienced stylist. I read the review stating that their stylist aren't licensed - untrue! Not only was Marci professional, and had been to school but she had experience working with a wide array of hair textures, styles and colors. She took time to even double check the coloring chart and mixed my colors according to very specific directions to make sure I got what I wanted. Ava herself offered me something to drink while I waited as did Marci while I was in the chair. Ava even offered to have my color picked up and brought to the store if what I wanted wasn't available - but it was. Oh, last but not least, I showed up as a walk-in with no appointment and asked that I be accommodated right then. Ava and Marci were pleasant, friendly, professional and they will continue to get my business. As for it being dirty as stated by someone else, I found it to be spotless, neat and the boutique items to be orderly. I'm a very, very picky customer with top-shelf expectations and was extremely pleased. more

What a wonderful place to be. I went there for a full body massage and my masseur was awesome. I was really relaxed, spoke to her some and in the end, because I was there through lunch, I received a salad and wine. The workers there were very courteous and so was Ava. I will definitely return to the spa. more

Recently went to visit Ava's Day spay and wished that I read the reviews. If you want to through way $+400 feel free , if you are looking for a great pedicure & manicure place , keep on going to the small shops. The staff is not trained nor has the knowledge; you are better off painting your nails at home and safe the money for lunch, quick trip to the mall, get your nails done there and have money left in your pocket.\r Awful!!! I visit this spa quite often! Mainly because I have developed a relationship with the employees who service me! \r \r The last time I was in the shop, Ava publicly fussed at an employee in the middle of the shop and in front of the clients! That is so wrong! \r \r Ava also was talking care of her personal business on her cell phone at the front! I want to relax when i go to a spa! I don't want to be listening to her fuss at employees nor do I want to hear her paying bills and dealing with her personal business at the front! I go to the spa to get away from the stress of daily life; so i don't want to hear that while i'm trying to relax!\r \r I have been trying to be a loyal client; but it's getting to be a big headache! What a wonderful gift from my Dad who lives in Delaware. He went online and found Ava's and bought a Countess gift certificate for my birthday. It included a manicure, spa pedicure, and either a facial or massage. I chose the facial and then upgraded it to something that's more appropriate for my age/skin needs. I'm 50 and starting to see some signs of aging so Ava suggested the flax seed facial which Annette applied. It takes a while but is very relaxing and Annette is a very nice person, we chatted some but then I zoned out and just enjoyed the experience. Alexis did the mani, spa pedi and that was also very pleasant. I ended up being there through lunch so Ava treated me to a salad which was a nice touch. I'm not the most patient person and that's the only con, and it's not meant for Ava and her staff just know that it takes a while to get all of these procedures done. But a great birthday/Mother's Day/Anniversary whatever gift to give a lady who really doesn't need anything else. And during these stressful times isn't a gift of relaxation and pampering just the thing you want to give your lady? Pros: Friendly, relaxing Cons: Not for impatient people more
