My husband purchased a Groupon for a so called ""Spa Day"" (1 hour massage, 1 hour facial, pedicure, sauna session, and wine/etc.) at CHRISTMAS time for my sister and I. We were beyond excited! However, when I called to schedule it, they said they had NO weekend appointments until after the Groupon expired....in JUNE! Strike one, now I have to take a day off of work to enjoy my gift, okay. So we schedule, 3 MONTHS in advance. We get a confirmation call at 5:00pm the night before saying we are good to go. We have taken the day off of work, payed for a babysitter, etc.
We walk in and the ""manager"" says, ""Uh, can I help you?"" in a confused tone. We explain to her that we are there for our Spa Day. She says casually, ""Well I do not have a massage thearapist here today, so you wont be able to get the massages."" Then she proceeds to tell us that our facials will not be at the same time, but we will each be waiting the hour while the other one has the facial, then we can have our pedicures together. But we will just have to ""come back another time"" for the massage. Oh yes, but remember, there are NO WEEKEND APPTS! This just keeps getting better.
So we dicuss the unprofessional nature of this and how disappointed we are, only to be met with a ton of attitude, and eventually being told..""Well you can call Groupon and get your money back through them if you don't like it"". And that is what we did. We walked out because I would rather get my money back than give a DIME of it to such incompetent people who obviously no NOT know how to run a business.
PS. I read a LOT of poor reviews the night before going, and STILL gave it a chance. I regret that entirely.
