I brought my car into Auto Max (Col. Heights) to get a muffler and was told I would need to wait an hour before they could get to it and another hour after it was in the shop. I had called in a few days earlier and was told It would be in and out in an hour and the quote was half of what the woman at the counter told me. When I mentioned the price difference the woman told me that I must have called some other place because she was the only one that answered the phones there. In fact, she insisted on it implying that I was a liar. ""I run the place"" she said. (I had called the number on the reciept and spoke to a man, not a woman.)
I can understand that it may take a while to get my cat in but for her to treat a customer with such disrespect is unacceptable. She actually said ""I got to go"" and ""I don't know if you're trying to waste my time or what"" whe I asked questions about the service. Perhaps she didn't want to do the work because I had a warranty on the muffler or maybe she was just having a bad day but she shouldn't have treated a customer that way.
I am sorry I ever went to Auto Max in the first place. The muffler is covered by warranty but I'd rather buy a new one then go to Auto Max again. That woman was such a bitch!
