Editorial review from Citysearch 3/10/2014

\r I take this opportunity to summarize my experience with the peripheral neuropathy treatment administered in Dr. Kohli's office. I had the series of injections and electro-therapy in 2012, with treatment completing in June 2012. Prior to the treatments, I was experiencing balance problems and could readily notice issues with simply walking and playing golf, which is one of my chosen hobbies. The balance issues were constantly present, and seemed to originate from a basic dulled sensation of “feel” in the bottoms of my feet.\r \r I was selected as a candidate for the peripheral neuropathy treatments, and within about 1 week of completion, all balance issues I had been experiencing were gone. I could wake in the morning, have no difficulties in walking the stairs in our home, play about 4-5 rounds of golf per week without balance difficulties, do yard work, etc.; in short, handle tasks dependent on walking and climbing quite normally. I did, and still do, experience minor “foot fatigue” I’ll call it after a long period of standing or walking, as in the case of a 4-hour round of golf. In this situation, I can notice a minor decrease of foot nerve sensation and balance at the end, but not significant enough to impact the overall experience. On days with the maximum physical activity, I may experience leg cramps (calf/thigh) at night, but I’m not sure of their origin. I do take a number of prescribed medications, one of which is simvistatin, which I understand to have a side-effect in some patients of causing leg cramps.\r \r Don Thorson more
