Trustworthy. I have been taking my car to these guys for just over 4 years and I have never had a single problem. They are always quick to apologize for any wait, small as it may be, and always have a good attitude. more

I called this place couple of times to make sure they will be able to perform transmission fluid change on my car and their so called/self proclaimed manager Dan assured me they can do it and quoted me on the phone. Next day, I got in my truck drove for almost an hour to get to their location and a big surprise. Two geniuses holding same manager title tell me they will not be able to do it for me because it is a Mercedes engine. When I mentioned a fact that they assured on the phone a day earlier they could service it, self proclaimed/ high school drop-out type guy tells me that I informed him that the truck was a Nissan Sprinter not Mercedes Sprinter. Really, Nissan Sprinter? I didn't know such a thing existed. Anyhow I tell one of them that they have to get better educated about car types and what their shop is capable of doing and the next thing I know I get asked in a very aggressive way to get the hell out of their property and their parking lot and they followed with threatening me with a police. Before I left Dan that self proclaimed, not fully educated mechanic managed to show me a universal FU gesture as I was walking away. Very professional and classy on their part, but I guess anything goes when a business is not run by a true supervisor who was trained to do so and knows what a customer service is. Not that this entire event really bothers me or anything, because I realize I was dealing with couple of guys with absolutely no class, so I was not expecting much from them. I just want to warn everybody out there about this establishment. By the way I tried getting a phone number to the owner of this shop to discuss this entire event and so called manager Robert lied and pretended that he owns this place, even though you could tell just by looking at this guy he is not. I will file a complaint with Better Business Bureau to make sure more people know about this unprofessional business. And by the way if you feel comfortable having your car serviced by a group of such unprofessional individuals and not professional true mechanics go ahead and use them. I certainly wouldn?t recommend it. Would give them zero stars but no such option. more

I have been a loyal customer of this location for about 10 years and these guys have always been up front, honest, great help and thorough. I had heard about the very negative and just about slanderous review on this page and since I was at the carwash next door during that exchange.I will say the tipster is sooo far off base.It is hard to provide customer service when the customer is ranting, raving, yelling and threating to a point to be asked to leave and employees feeling so threaten to feel the need to call the police. The negative tipster chose to pick a fight. See ,I know these guys. They certainly would have been happy to call around to find a place that would service a Sprinter (whatever kind it is.).So the unit would be properly serviced. If they actually serviced the unit ,knowing the could not, that would dishonest and unprofessional.Lastly to write about someone as uneducated and a dropout, My suggestion to the guys named ,Talk to a lawyer. This group does a great job ,Tell you up front there findings and give quality service and you won't spend a whole day getting service either. Brush this one off boys, there wasn't much more if anything that could be done there.Keep up the great work!!!!!! more

Best Quick Lube In NorthWest IL. 5/23/2008

Aurora Oil N Lube is the BEST quick lube in Illinois. I do believe it's under new ownership and the change's are nothing but excellent. The tecks were very knowledgeable with my vehicle and they kept me up to date on how my car was doing. They also showed me that my car had a cabin air filter behind my glove box. With having young kids, this was very important to me to change because it was very dirty and I want my kids breathing fresh air. Thanks again to Steve and the crew for such great work..... Pros: Price paid for the value of service is great!!!!!! Cons: None YET more

great place 3/11/2008

I take my cars there all the time and they have always been very honest with us.. They broke the dip stick on my car once and when I took it back after 5 weeks when I notices it. They order a new one from Ford and replaced it free of charge.. They are very friendly people and I think they do a great job.. more

The Best Oil Shop in Du Page County 2/21/2008

I am a retired mechanic of 25 years and I have to say I was impressed by the shops cleanliness and service. The young gentleman who serviced my car, Ryan was friendly and knowledgeable. He only recommended the services and products appropriate for my vehicle and was friendly throughout the process. I liked how he took the time to explain every part of the service to me in plain and clear English. The guys there even let me go downstairs to take a look at my transmission pan which I had just replaced myself. I was shocked at how clean it looked. Unlike most oil shops who have floors covered in layers of oil, The floor was clean and all the tools neatly organized. The downstairs tech, Chad was as friendly and cheerful as grease monkeys come. Being a mechanic, I tested him on some of the usual knowledge involved with oil changes and he passed with flying colors. I was then cashed out by the Manager Steve, who without me knowing took five dollars off of my service. When I asked why he said he noticed the sticker on my truck and respected me for the time I spent in the army in Vietnam. It is safe to say I left the shop with a smile on my face. I would definitely recommend this shop over the usual jiffy lube. After years working in a repair shop, I can say the services and oil changes are definitely faster than most repair shops and car dealerships. Even if you just need the oil change this shops fast service and friendly crew make it the best oil shop in Du Page County. Pros: service, speed, friendly crew more

Dishonest oil change shop. Avoid! 2/13/2007

Beware of this oil change place. They are dishonest with their prices, and they attack you incessantly with upgrades and ""suggested services"". They are VERY pushy and make it seem like your car won't last ten minutes outside the door without fuel injector services, air filter, etc. The worst is their bait and switch routine where they price out items and then they end up being more on the invoice. The first time happened with a vehicle I brought in that they claimed needed a new air filter. I asked the price and they quoted something like 12.50. When I got the bill is was 20+. When questioned, they stated that the one they put in was more expensive than they had originally thought. When I protested, they took a few bucks off the already pricy synthetic oil change service. This last time out of conveience I stopped off and got my oil change. After the normal speil of service pitches of synthetic oil, injector cleaning service, and others, (I am suprised they didn't ask about my air filter even though it was only 2months old!), I broke down and agreed to letting them change my license plate bulbs( I should have checked to see if they were truly out). Not only did they disconnect my battery and not tell me (I lost the time and all my presets), but their quoted price of 2.50 a bulb ended up being 5 bucks a pop. When I called to complain, the person who answered basically accused me of lying. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! Avoid this dishonest shop!!!! Cons: If you can't trust them not to screw you over, can you trust them to change your oil? more

If you don't want a broken car avoid at all costs 11/1/2006

The store manager (Steve) is absolutely the worst at customer service and commitment to making a customer happy. I brought my car in for a 15,000 mile oil change and drove it for two days before it decided to expel four quarts of oil all over my garage floor. I brought it back to Aurora Oil - Steve looked at my car and replaced a washer and the lost oil. The car continued to leak a little for the next two days so I took it back. Again I was given a new washer (make note...this is now two opportunities for Steve to ask himself if something else could possibly be wrong with the car). The next day I happened to have a service appointment at the car dealer - who told me the cause of the leak was stripped threads in the oil pan...a costly repair at $550. I called Steve...he drove over to look at my car and confirmed that the threads were stripped but he wanted to fix my car by rethreading the plug...and if that didn't work he'd replace the oil pan. I said no...he broke my new car and I wanted it in new condition - not a bandaid of rethreading (which would also void my warranty). I asked Steve if he would work with me on paying for the new oil pan and he said he'd talk to his area manager (Andrew). Long story one from Aurora Oil would return my phone calls, I had the oil pan replaced, and now I'm out $550 PLUS the original oil change of $75 (synthetic oil). So what's a girl to do?...file a complaint with the 3Bs. Which I did and wouldn't you know it, Aurora Oil doesn't want to talk to them either. My advice the only way to walk away a satisfied customer is to go somewhere else! (complaint #94088116). Cons: Customer Service more
