Jessica Nash, the owner, is a talented stylist with many top-tier corporate , fashion, and beauty clients. The other stylists are FAB - with a special mention to Dee who is a master when it comes to curly hair. Prior to Aurbeautica, I was going to Devachan with results that were anything BUT special. With the cuts that Dee gives me, I am told all the time how great my hair looks. And more importantly I think it looks fantastic. And I hear from a friend that his coloring work is great too. I've lived here for 5 years and will only let Dee cut my hair now. 5 star rating After years of getting oddball, high maintenance haircuts in a cramped, messy Soho salon, I felt ready for a change and gave Aurbeautica a chance. I fell in love immediately with the space. It's upstairs from one of the busiest stretches of Broadway, but the salon is a quiet, spacious, airy loft with lots of natural light so you can actually SEE what's going on with your hair. Dee, my stylist, listens to my wishes, offers great suggestions, and always achieves a versatile, sexy, natural style that looks great whether I blow-dry, air dry, or force it into some cockamamie 'do. His cuts are precise which on my longish, straight blond hair is really important. And the color! All I can say is that as a woman in my forties, I always pined for the sun-kissed, summery 12 year old hair of my youth, and he gave it back to me. I don't walk out of Aurbeautica looking ""done"", I walk out looking FOXY! I think Dee would rather I be complimented for looking fantastic than for looking like I just got a haircut. I moved to New York 2 years ago and have gone to countless salons in search of a great cut, a welcoming atmosphere and truly personalized service. I am THRILLED to say that the search is over because I found all three and MORE at Aurbeautica! Jessica was positively focused on what I had to say about my hair and even asked questions I had never thought of. From there, she crafted a fun yet easy-to-care-for style (my two main requirements). I was also touched to learn that Jessica has also has a charity call Pretty Smart, which contributes a portion of their revenues one day a month to help fund an impoverished school in India. I've scheduled my next appointment for the next Pretty Smart day and looking forward to contributing to the cause! more

I didn't really know, but she helped me through the process and made some great suggestions. I felt really comfortable and excited before she even made the first snip! She went to work and cut and colored my hair quickly, but with great care; She is obviously a real pro. When she styled my hair, she worked with my natural curl pattern, which most stylists ignore. The vibe in the salon is always friendly and chill and the cuts are nothing short of amazing. After 3+ years of going to Aurbeautica, Jessica Nash is the only person I allow to touch my hair. I have to be honest I have been to a lot (A LOT) of stylists in this city and most of the time I leave unsatisfied. THe hi lights are too bold, too soft or too brassy. I have major committment issues when it comes to finding the right stylist for my hair. After a few months of trying to find a great NYC stylist, but never being entirely satisfied, I found my way io Aurbeautica. It is incredibly accessible on the subway, and I'd read all the reviews so thought it was worth a try. I got an appointment with Dee, and no kidding, my beauty-life has not been the same since. He is absolutely incredible. He cuts and highlights my hair-- the cuts grow out beautifully, and day-to-day I do very little to my hair, and still get tons of compliments on the cut, even weeks later. I liked him so much that I asked him to put my hair up for my wedding. Words do not do justice to the magic he performed-- that entire day, people were gushing over my hair-- it was better than I could have even imagined, truly, a work of art. And, the salon is absolutely gorgeous. It is in the midst of Soho, and is a very relaxed and serene space. Though I'd think that given the talent, there'd be some amount of of pretentiousness, that could not be farther from the truth.
