Aura beauty lounge is beautiful. It has modern furniture, very clean, and a relaxing atmosphere. However, from my first time experience, they over sold themselves but underdelivered. I was told I would have the best hairstylist, so they assigned me a ""master stylist"", which costs more. I asked to simply layer my hair at the same length it is at. My hair has been long all my life, and she chopped it nearly 3 inches below my shoulders, which is very short for me, and not what I asked for. My hair was originally at my waist with long layers. She said she was trying to give me a ""japanese hair cut"", which ended up turning like a 1980's mullet! It was very very top heavy. The top of my head until my chin-- lots of short layers. Then after that, I had a such a thin handful (more like 2 ""fingerfull"" of hair!). It was a mullet!!! Everything was uneven; there were layers shorter in the middle of my head than the top of my head. Layers next to each other weren't the same length. It was terrible! My color looked ORANGE instead of a pretty auburn brown, and they charged me $230! I also found out my aunt went to Aura two weeks before me. Her hair is short, and they recommended to give her an ""A-Line"", which didn't make sense, considering how short her hair in the front of her face already was. Plus, her A-Line was uneven. Her left side was obviously shorter than her right side. I honestly rather go back to my original hairstylist an hour away from home where I pay half the price for the same exact services and receive much better quality and skills. I tried to let it grow out, but within a month, I couldn't help it. I made a phone call to my old stylist and chopped it off to my shoulders. Just because the place looks like a 5 star rating doesn't mean it is. As my 1st grade teacher has said, ""Don't judge a book by it's cover.""
Pros: Beautiful atmosphere
Cons: Overpriced and Unskilled
