Great local company for HVAC and servicing needs 12/31/2013

I live in Boston, where the systems are very old and familiarity is required with how to install HVAC systems in very tight spaces as well as comply with city regulations. Atlantic is an experienced contractor in this area who is used to dealing with all manners of tight spaces and regulations in Boston. Additionally, I had reached out to several contractors, and Atlantic was the only one who inspired confidence that the job would be done right the first time given the challenges above, and they did this at the most economical price among the 3 quotes I received. They delivered exactly as promised, and over a year later, I have had no issues with my new HVAC. Two things however: 1. When my system was installed, for some reason, the wiring was off (I had a different thermostat than the one they normally use), and the AC part did not work. When I notified them about the issue, they immediately came the next business day and took care of it. 2. A very professional team through-and-through. In one case, I had a service issue a month or two after the new HVAC was put in. Again, they were over right away the next business day to take care of it, and this during a very hot stretch in the summer. more

Highly recommendation Atlantic Heating and Air; they worked very closely with our contractors, attentive to our concerns and questions, left the place clean and organized when work was done – followed up after a few weeks to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Would absolutely work with them again! more

Easy experience! 10/9/2013

Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning changed the boiler for us. They removed the old furnace and put in a new one and it works fine. The gentlemen who came out to do that were very good and very personable. I didn't have any problems with them. I didn't have any problems getting the appointment set up either. They're pretty good. There shouldn't be any problems with them doing any work. more

Fabulous! Exceeds expectations. . . all the time! 9/8/2013

As a long time customer, we've come to rely on Atlantic's expertise and their high level of service. Their installation of a dehumidification system this week, however, was really extraordinary. The quote was ready the same day as they assessed our problem, and they were able to install it the following day. Their work was really neat, even though locating the machine was somewhat complicated in our house - but the result is actually invisible in the adjoining room. The drop in humidity was evident within 24 hours, solving a big problem we had during this very hot and humid summer. We remain very happy Atlantic customers! more

We had Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning come in because we needed our central air conditioning unit replaced. The one we had was falling a part. They were very professional, very prompt, and provided excellent service. They came over, immediately scheduled an estimate, and met me at my convenience, which was really appreciated. Once they gave the estimate in a very professional and complete way, they answered all my questions and provided references, who I spoke with and who were both very positive. When it came time to schedule the service they did it in a very expedited manner. It was in the middle of the summer and we also needed it expedited because the older system was leaking. The guys who came and installed the new unit were very careful. They did an excellent and complete job and really provided quality service. We were very happy with how everything went. more

Fast, Reliable, Knowledgeable - Excellent Service! 8/19/2013

We called Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning when an A/C unit broke down in our health club. They were extremely prompt, coming to view the problem that same day and repairing the unit the following day. The service men were extremely professional, knowledgeable, reliable and friendly. We were impressed with how quickly and efficiently they completed the repair. A fix like that could have easily disrupted the members and club atmosphere, but they were very respectful working quietly and keeping their equipment tucked away as not to intrude with members' workouts. The office staff was a pleasure to work with and we were very happy with the pricing as well. I would absolutely recommend Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning to any business or home owner looking to work with a great company that provides exceptional service! more

Innovative and effective AC work! 7/24/2013

Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning installed AC in our condo after we'd never been able to get a system in previously. It's been so hot here, and they installed a system in our whole condo. They did an estimate, worked out a way to make it work for everyone in our condo association, and were so creative and innovative! more

Professional, quick, helpful, and honest. I would recommend them highly to anyone. 6/28/2013

I called Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning and they did a first available appointment. Josh was the repairman that came. He was wonderful. Sympathetic, helpful, and he could have made things sound a lot worse. He was very proactive about diagnosing the whole central air system. He tried to troubleshoot it so I wouldn't need a whole new system. He talked to me in language I could understand. Josh was just great and stayed longer than anybody should have. He diagnosed the problem. A couple of days had to go by to let frozen ice melt and then they came back quickly. They fixed it and Josh will be coming back periodically to make sure it was running. He was totally professional, honest, and ethical. A lot of people could have tried to sell me a whole new system. It was a very good experience all the way around. Their professionalism is fabulous - I'd give them a 10! I would recommend them highly to anyone. more

Highly recommended on time, on budget, responsive 5/13/2013

The main criteria I use when determining my satisfaction with a vendor are: were they responsive through the whole process; did they keep on budget (both cost and time); was all the work explained ahead of time, with no gotchas; did they answer any questions? Atlantic hit on all these and we can highly recommend them, without reservation. We called Atlantic to provide estimates for two projects new central air system and to replace our oil burner with gas. (We had the oil burner installed and the AC work is next.) We received very thorough estimates for both projects, much more detailed and more carefully thought-out than a competitor we also called. The work was done on budget and on time (actually a bit faster than expected). All our questions were answered, whether by the owner or by the technicians. The installation team was very knowledgeable, always on time and were very conscientious about keeping the area clean (not a small matter when taking apart an old oil burner). We have no hesitation about working with them on the central air conditioning project. more

I called Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning - HVAC, Heating & Cooling for a quote and the owner came out right away and gave an estimate. The final price was adjusted by the technicians and ended up being lower than the original. When I had the money together they were ready to go in a couple of days. They put in a high efficiency furnace and a new central air conditioning system. We had had some issues with the venting on the heating system and they couldn't have been more professional about making adjustments. The installation was seamless. more

A remarkable resource that keeps us warm in the winter and cool in the summer 4/18/2013

There really are not many words needed to describe Atlantic and their perfectly tuned employees and services: Reliable, Responsive, Resolute, Remarkable in nothing but good ways. We have a fairly intricate set of systems in our home and Atlantic has the technical skills to meet our challenging needs. But on top of that, they show up when they say they are coming. And they get results when they get here. Simple. A great service without match. We strongly recommend them! more

Came to my tenant at 11pm, great work and price 4/10/2013

Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning came to me when I had an emergency for a tenet. I manage a property and they responded to my call at 11 PM. They took care of the problem, the price was very reasonable, and my tenant was very happy. As a Realtor, it is tough to find someone who will respond quickly, timely, professionally, and fairly priced under those circumstances but Atlantic Heating is did all of that. I would recommend them to any of my clients. more

Atlantic extended my heating to the basement and add a separate zone to the main bedroom of my house. They did a great job. The team work was dedicated and kind, the timelines were just as expected and the work was successfully finished. more

I live in an old cape which Atlantic retrofitted with air conditioning. I found Mr. Boyles extremely thoughtful and knowledgeable in his recommendations. His workers are meticulous and professional. Last summer I thought I needed a separate A/C unit for the upstairs bedroom. Instead, Mr. Boyles came, readjusted the vents at no charge and fixed the problem. I highly recommend Atlantic to all my friends and family more
