Wow, a traditional sushi place in SF--who would have figured with Mas Sake, Ace Wasabi, and Marina Sushi down the street? Food is superb, fresh, and tasty. Service is friendly, attentive, but leisurely. Ambiance is quiet and mostly authentic. In short, a great place to eat great sushi.
If you want a party, get-you-out-the-door service, obnoxious clientele, and loud music, try one of the 3 places I mentioned above. Maybe you can even get what you consider to be decent sushi there, too, if you like yours Californiazed, hopped up on hot sauce, and/or mushy.
Pros: Fresh sushi, Warm service, Very authentic
Cons: Not for fast sushi
