My TV has been broken for over a month, and I have spent MANY hours trying to find someone to fix it, or troubleshoot it with the manufacturer. Astro was my last resort. I have had a repairman out to look at the set, but he was unable to fix it. At the time he was here I called Astro to get a price for a part, which I was given. Today, a month later, I decided to send it to a center to get it fixed. Astro is one of 2 service centers listed by my TVs web site. At 12:09 pm, I called and arranged for the TV to be picked up. The TV would be picked up in 5 days & would cost me $200 +tax for them to even look at it. At 3:53 pm, I received a call from the other service center listed (where I had left a mess). I was on the phone 11 min discussing the problem w/the TV, but declined service w/the 2nd center. At 4:20 pm, less than 20 min after this call, the lady I had spoken with at Astro called & backed out of servicing my TV. Her excuse was that she knew I had another repairman out previously, and she didn't want to go behind his back. I tried to explain the former serviceman could not fix it, and that he had been paid for the service call, but she would not listen. She also mentioned that she knew I ahd spoken to Mr.____ at the 2nd repair center, so I could take it there. This was less than 20 minutes after I had spoken to him!! She was very rude and unprofessional. I tried to explain that I didn't have anywhere else to get this TV fixed, but she didn't care, she suggested a 3rd shop that wasn't listed by the website and was very far from my home. I think this whole thing was a retaliation for speaking with the 2nd repair center, and not because she didn't want to ""go behind the back"" of the 1st repair man. It is too much of a coincidence that she called RIGHT after I spoke with them and knew who I spoke to by name! I would not recommend anyone take their electronics to this business because the lady doesn't know how to be professional about customers shopping around.
Cons: Poor customer service. Rude & unprofessional.
